1. I just completed first day, second week, C25K 2. I have just drunk a latte. 3. My 4 year old is starting to love school (this should be no. 1).

Hi, I have had this in my drawer for the last month but because I am doing the C25K I hadn't touched it. Because it was so snowy yesterday, I finally took it out of it's cover and tried it and I loved it. I have been looking at Jillian Michaels books and other DVDs already. I am going to continue with C25K but try to…

Outside defo better! It's just lovely to get outside. I started C25K at the beginning of the month but got ill second week and had problems with my knees, which hopefully weren't due to the jogging. Going to start back at day 1 this week and see how it goes with the knees. Good luck! Friend me if you want to compare notes,…

I fancy a new top to cheer myself up and a new book for my Kindle.

Never complain, never explain! Just say, thanks I just feel so much better for losing some weight.

You look fantastic. I am not sure you would after another 31lbs. I am the same height or a tiny bit taller, around 140lb at the mo. I definitely could do another stone, anymore would not look great on me (but I am older). I think when I was younger, sigh, about 8 and a half stone was right for me.

Nothing wrong with a baldy imo. I don't know why blokes worry about losing their hair. I think older blokes with a thick mane of styled hair are yuk (sorry!)

Add me! My weight has gone up and down over the years and my exercise regime has stopped and started too. Ie, I am normal! Look at my profile, you will see i can go great guns for weeks then blips caused by kids illness, motivation issues and life in general. But I am getting there slowly!

Hi, I am on the second week. I also want to do other workouts, but like others have said, I am going to wait a while. My goal is long term and I don't want to do the classic thing of getting over excited and doing too much then stopping due to injury or over tiredness.

Ooh this is interesting for me. I am on second week of C25K and just took delivery this week of my 30 Day Shred DVD. I would like to alternate both, but I think I will just be doing the C25K for a few weeks for now and then start adding in the shred. I did look at it yesterday after day 2 week 2 but I knew I wasn't going…

I forgot to say on my first post that I first tried to jog about October/November time and realised that I had no strength in my legs and that I would probably injure myself or give up. So I started doing reguar "brisk walks" for 30-40 minutes. I then had to take a break over xmas as both my boys were ill, one after the…

Hi, I am on week 2 of the Couch to 5K programme which others have mentioned. It's fab and if you look on here, it's quite easy to find others that are at a similar stage to you. People seem to know of it too, so if you mention that you are doing it, someone will say oh yeah I/my sister/auntie/brother etc did that, so it…

I think you feel the benefits of your exercise the day after your rest day if that makes sense? If I exercise too much then I just feel and look tired. I am trying to be in the habit of doing my C25K M/W/F and possibly a fourth workout but something different at the weekend. I want to feel like it has it's place in my life…

Hi I live in UK. Sports Direct, I got a bra for about £8, it was reduced from about £30 I think. They always have deals like that in there and they have a website too. I have just done Day 3 of the first week, feel free to add me. I am bang on the same height and weight as you, so we could compare notes! Though sadly I…

lol people say annoying things whatever you do. I don't discuss my diet/exercise with anyone. If people notice and say something nice I just say, "thank you" and then zip up my mouth quick! There are some people out there who will never say something nice whatever you do, so I don't give them the opportunity to get the…

Got one for Xmas and I love it! I got the new one, which is actually cheaper, £89 in UK. It is just the right size. I also have a pink leather case for it and I think this makes all the difference as the case opens out like a book, so it feels like you are holding a book. Slightly embarrasing that I occasionally lick my…

Hi, I'm 41 and two children age 4 and 7. My goal was similar to yours. Last year I managed to lose 14 lbs and I still have been 7 and 14 to go. I mainly lost the weight by calorie counting last year but now my youngest is at school, I am adding exercise into the mix. I have started the Couch to 5K running programme this…

Thanks all, that's brilliant. I'm going to get my other half to sort it out for me now, but at least I know what I'm asking him to do!

Hi, I put on loads with first baby, not quite so much with the second. I followed a similar pattern both times though, in that I lost loads of weight after the birth and 3 months on but once things settled down and i was more in a routine with the baby, then the weight started to creep up. I think it's a combination of…

You look fantastic. You are about the same height as me and 11st 1lb was my starting point, so it's great to see someone succeed with the same goals. I am just over halfway to my goal. Hoping to have a dress moment myself in the summer! :-)

I think I know where you are coming from. I was tiny before the kids, but being slightly overweight, mummy figure seemed to be a safer place to be (hide?). But, this year, for lots of different reasons, I finally decided after quite a few years of hiding that I am not doing that anymore. I am not at my goal, but next year…

I dare not weight, but judging by how my jeans feel, I reckon 3/4 pounds. Why? Because I love the lifestyle of the Christmas Holidays. No routine and midnight TV with a glass of Baileys and some chocolate. The first few days back to normal routine and eating habits are like torture!

Does he actually know there's a problem? Sometimes men just don't get it (sorry to all men who do get it). Tell him straight. This isn't working for me. How can we work things out so I can exercise, work and take care of the boys? Basically, approach it like a man lol! Try and leave the emotion out of it, tell him you want…

Baileys all the way for me

Hi, do yourself a favour and learn a tough lesson I have had to learn in life too. Don't go looking for support/compliments where it ain't going to be found. You have lost a huge amount of weight, it must be plain for all to see. Congratulate yourself and each time you hit a target, treat yourself to something nice or do…

Baby Whisperer is a really good book. It's about making baby independent but not as extreme as other books that I won't mention. It;s a long time since I read it now, but I vaguely remember you pick the baby up and soothe, pat their back etc, whisper shhh and once they are calm put them down. Keep repeating. For as long as…

Oh and the poster isn't "fat" as someone else mentioned in their reply. Like lots of us who have babies she's probably found it harder to shift weight from that middle area, which let's face it get's somewhat stretched and those of us who have had c-sections are left with a more difficult area to shift. I am only about a…

lol yes it has happened to me this year. To be fair it was a case of mistaken identity because another mum in my child's class was pregnant, though I obviously did have that look about me. Worst of it was, the woman who offered congratulations spotted me from a distance and kind of run towards me with the big smile and…

Hi, I have this on my fridge and it is my goal for the New Year (but not a resolution, as I break those!) I tried to start it a month or two ago and quickly realised that running up and down stairs after small kids is not the workout I thought it was! So, I started doing some free jogging and aerobic exercise on Wii Fit…

Hi, want to do the C25K programme. I started off jogging, but soon realised that I wasn't fit and needed to build up some strength, so I have been going for "brisk walks" 3/4 times a week for between 30-40 minutes. I am probably going to continue like this through xmas with a view to adding the jogs in after new year. I…
