  • I like this!! I'll maybe work in giving myself more of a deficit during the week so I have a little more room for weekend indulgences. I'm 5"7 and about 148 lbs. I've been aiming for about 1500 calories during the week.
  • Yeah I do pre plan my weekday meals as well but it's just those darn weekends where I fail! I like your idea of keeping those bar nights but just doing a little more planning around it.
  • Thanks I guess I just really need to suck it up and be glad I am still in healthy weight range considering what I've been eating. I think part of the problem is that as a younger person I was really blessed with a fast metabolism and now that I'm 33 am realizing I can't just eat whatever I want anymore
  • Good advice. I guess I really need to look at how badly I want to reach my goals.. I stick to pretty clean eating all week but just can't seem to control myself on the weekend. Any tips on how to keep motivated on the weekend? My goal is to lose 10 pounds by July 1st. It's nothing too extreme and should be doable with some…
  • Oh I just don't put my water in. I drink a tonnnnnn of water. So I know that's not the issue. Like at least 3 litres
  • My legs are a lottttt stonger though and I should mention that a year and a half ago I had knee surgery and was off work for 3 months. Precious to the knee surgery I was pretty much off my feet for 3 months. That's when I gained the 15 pounds that I am trying to get rid of
  • Yeah I know it's not muscle gain or anything. See a little more definition than before but very little and clothes still fit the same
  • I think I have been adding some muscle but the flab is still there for sure
  • So basically this all comes down to diet? I hate dieting so much that I'd honestly rather workout 3 hours a day than change my diet ahah
  • It's set at lightly active
  • I make it myself. I always make the pizza we eat and use chicken sausage as the meat rather than pepperoni and all that
  • I try to overestimate the calorie amount in food whenever possible. Like if I'm not 100% sure the calories in a pizza are accurate then I say I had an extra piece than I did have. You are right about the homemade selections I put they are probably not 100% accurate. But I believe they are close and again I always over…
  • It's probably not a good sign that I'm embarrassed for people to look at my food diary
  • Can somebody tell me why I can see jeffseekingv's posts?
  • My diary is open now
  • Yeah I definitely was doing better when I was logging consistently and did see a little bit of weight loss at that time. But guess I just needed to keep at it ...
  • Thanks for sharing what he said. I don't know Why it won't let me read his posts
  • Alice yeah I have been tracking sporadically. I was doing it consistantly for a few months but just started at it again a week ago. Sure I'll open it up just give me a sec. Warning - it's far from perfect so go easy on me ahaha
  • Jeffseekingv- it won't let me see that post either
  • Thanks , see I was actually kind of wondering I f I was getting enough calories too . I am very active! I think you may be right about needing to add weight lifting as well. The time I was in the best shape is when I was doing a lot more weight training. I'm just a bit of a cardio addict and especially love spin classes.…
  • I don't remember weight loss being so difficult in my 20's!
  • Thanks, this actually makes a lot of sense. You are right, at least I do know what I need to do for maintenance cause I certainly have not had a my problem maintains this weight haha. Haven't changed a pound in a year.
  • For some reason it's not lettinge see the above post. It has bars over it?
  • This is probably naive but I was hoping to reach my goals through dedicated workout program and then just making good food choices and watching calorie intake. But I guess I need to be a little stricter? I just don't want to to completely take over my life either though...
  • Really? The goal I am given in fitness pal is 1600 so that's what I have been aiming for especially since I am so active. I am a nurse so am on my feet all day at work as well plus walk about 15 mins to and from work. I aim for no more that 1600 but often do fall in around 1400-1500
  • I am 33 year old, 5"7 and 150lbs. My goal is to get down to about 135 ( where I was about 5 years ago) I don't weigh my food no. I really don't want to have to get that nit-picky about things but maybe I need to?
  • Also I should add that I really enjoy having pizza and beer on my Friday nights. I know that's not good but it really does just make my week and I do look forward to it! Do you think this might be my issue? I just don't know if I'd be willing to give that up
  • You are obviously not familiar with pilates reformer. A spring system is used to add very very heavy resistance. It's not just couple pounds. I've done the whole lifting at the gym thing for many years and have worked with personal trainers who use this method. I just found that with my knee injury it wasn't for me and…
