Fred: Now that's a really helpful response, thanks!

Jade: I guess, but I've got a 30" waist line now! I only used to be about 26-27! Then boom, college happened. And though I do have a bit of muscle, I've got quite some fat on there that needs shedding. Oh, and does that mean it's pretty normal to have a huge deficit every day? MFP tells me my daily caloric goal is 1200,…

Good job! :) I've just started encouraging some friends and family to log their progress in regularly and start getting fit! Logging things in is important, but talking to someone about what you ate that day and how much exercise you did REALLY helps. It's especially encouraging when you share your dieting strategies,…

Heyyyy don't be haters. The reason why we share and discuss here in the first place is because reading up alone can lead us to unreliable sources. So it's good that you guys pointed that out, thanks.

The travel thing is such a good idea. My boyfriend and I do it differently because running isn't our main source of exercise. His mother will sponsor a trip for us to Boracay for some maximum X amount of money. Now as a team, the three of us have separate weight loss goals, and pooling them together is our 100%. By the end…

I eat raw organic honey too. Or I think I do. The brand is Palawan Honey Queen. Hoping anyone knows about it. It's what I use for my coffee. About using stevia/other artificial or low-cal sweeteners: I don't have to save up on calories for healthier things, because honestly, I'm on a calorie deficit. My abandoning of…

I eat rice every meal, being Asian. It's just that I avoid pork and deep fried things, and baked desserts. So my food is like a piece of fish/chicken/beef, a cup of veg, a piece of fruit, and rice or some other natural source of carb. The meat and veg are often cooked in vegetable oil, either lauric or olive, so I didn't…

"Saying fructose is levulose is like saying that margarine is the same as butter. Refined fructose lacks amino acids, vitamins, minerals, pectin, and fiber. As a result, the body doesn’t recognize refined fructose. Levulose, on the other hand, is [fructose] naturally occurring in fruits, and is not isolated but bound to…

I just finished my undergrad but I totally know how it feels like! I used to be a varsity athlete, but had to leave. And when I did, I gained some serious weight. I was so embarrassed about my graduation photo, that when I uploaded it to facebook, I had to photoshop it thin. Good luck! Just steer clear of the instant…

Actually, I think I need help and we have the opposite problem. I try to eat three square meals a day. But since it's all healthy food, mostly, I often get only up to 600 or 800 calories. I'm always on a calorie deficit!
