I agree with everyone above...just give it a try and see how it goes...stop if there is pain. I was never into running until about 6 years ago...walking just got too slow, and I wanted to see if I could manage a run. I started out jogging the intersections and walking the blocks, then progressed alternating jogging a block…

Had to put all of my size 16 jeans in the give-away pile...they all fall off my now size 12 behind:) Kicked the treadmill's *kitten* today by jogging at 5.6mph for 20 minutes, then finishing my 1/2 hour jog off at 5.5mph...not a big deal to accomplished runners, but a big deal for me:)

feel free to add me to your friends...I've been on mfp for about 4 months and am almost 1/2 way to my 50lb goal...am pretty good about logging meals and exercise daily.

Started at 196, but have been up to 210 before...my initial goal is 146 and then I'll evaluate. I've been down to about 135, but felt too thin at that weight.

Two for me today: - wore a sweater that is fairly form-fitting, and didn't see any obvious tummy rolls - cranked up my speed on the treadmill from 5mph to 5.1mph...a 15 sec/mile improvement...on my way to a 10 minute mile for a 5k in August!

I'm sending you a friend request too...stay tuned:smile:

Congratulations! Keep up the great work:smile:

Nice! I've never been able to do chin ups or pull ups, and it's one of my longer term goals:)

jogged continuously on the treadmill for 30 minutes straight yesterday, and avoided the mass of unhealthy snack foods that parents are delivering at work for staff appreciation week...can honestly say after about 12 weeks of eating healthy, it wasn't that hard to say no to the snacks:happy:

Congratulations! What an amazing transformation. Best of luck to you in your next phase of training:smile:
