Our other cat is so sad. He keeps looking for her in the places she used to sleep. He wouldn’t go near her yesterday. Not sure if maybe he was scared or upset. I feel so bad for him. The black cat is the one who passed.

Thank you all for the much needed support. I went to work tonight with the gut feeling it would be the last time I would see her, and said my goodbyes. It is going to sound crazy, but for the last half hour at work, I haven’t felt right. I couldn’t get comfortable, felt nauseous and very lightheaded. Was sitting in the…

Thank you. She is on prescription food right now, since it has to be blended and syringe fed.

I may be being too hopeful, but a slight improvement this morning. Gave her the fluids and she decided she was done with them so she got up and tried to walk away. She didn’t make it far and she is so weak she can barely stand, but at least she was able to get away when she had had enough.

She had an official diagnosis of IBD after an ultra sound on Tuesday. She had severe thickiening of her intestine, which is why she’s been losing weight. She can’t absorb anything. She had been diagnosed with that years ago, but it was being managed with diet and probiotics. About 6-7 months ago, the company stopped making…

So far, she seems to be making it through the night. I’ve been waking up every few hours to check on her and syringe feed her small amounts. I find her in a different spot each time which gives me a little hope. We are gosling that the steroids kick in and reduce the inflammation in her intestine. It’s a Small hope, but we…

I don’t know. Time seems to be flying by so quickly. She’s 18months now and certainly has developed my attitude. Is it bad that I don’t see the problem with popcorn, other than it being messy?

I know!! I can’t belive it!

Just like any other medication, you should really know what it is and why you are taking it, prior to your first dose.
-
I thought you were supposed to be under a certain fat gram amount for 3 days prior to taking the medication? (At least that is what the old Alli instructions said).

I’m not 100% sure, but maybe our local butcher carries something like that. If not, will ask my best friend google lol.

Oh geez. Totally forgot about the eggs in pasta.
-
I could look into a few, but I feel like catering may send the event over budget.

Those sound great. I’m not 100% certain about certain foods being vegan or not. Would a tricolor pasta, mixed with tomato, olives, cucumbers and Italian dressing, be vegan? Or I could make a tomato, cucumber, and olive salad?

They don’t really want it to be a bring your own type thing since they don’t want the employees to have to spend money for the bbq. So basically they gave me a company credit card to buy anything reasonable for the event, and want me to get a few volunteers to cook what we buy, if that makes sense.

King Arthur has gluten free muffin, brownie, pancake, waffle and bread mixes, if you still want traditional breakfast foods. Glutino is another company that makes decent mixes as well. Udis sells frozen gf bagels, hamburger and hotdog buns, muffins, pizza, bread etc. All three of these companies make decent gf alternatives.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are once again on an extremely tight budget (one of my significant other got seriously injured at work and will be out for a while). Looking back on the suggestions from earlier. Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

Don’t get me wrong, they have to be somewhat competent to pass all the exams, but there are definitely people that a majority of us look at am are like”how do you still work here?” It’s not so much that they don’t know what they are doing, but rather are lazy or don’t want to put effort into what they do. There is one (who…

No, she’s actually relatively new (only been working together about 4 months). Sadly I lost most of my permanent partners from prepregnancy. Two no longer work at the company and the other changed his schedule to all day shifts because of child care issues.

Thank you everyone. She is actually my “good” partner so definitely want to keep her around. My other two seem to be trying for a world record of stupid (I wish that was an understatement. I actually sent her text (felt tnqould be easier because I hate conflict for the most part). She apologized and said she actually meant…

Not really something I’d want to get HR involved in since I have to work with her for 12 hours each week I’m an ambulance. I feel like involving HR would make things worse.

Do I want to know how she managed to do that?

Adding to the thread because I found this absolutely hilarious and amusing. We had my cousin this weekend because she is not allowed (too young) to stay home alone and her parents were on a business trip. She told me she was going to kitchen to wash the dishes, and I was like “okay sure, if you want to.” She is 12 so i…
