Tot is great! So big so fast! Thankfully leg is healing quickly but I’ve developed tendonitis from the antibiotic I’m on. Thankfully just one more day and I’m done, doctor says within a week the tendonitis should go away. I haven’t been able to tolerate much beyond a few bites of food here and there, so lost a lot of water…

Do you qualify for state insurance? If so, that would help pay for treatment.

Has been slacking with being healthy because I unfortunately had a head injury last March (ambulance was tboned while we were treating a baby was was turned bkue, so neither my partner nor I…

Great suggestions. Will look into it.

I’ll asmit, it’s very possible I just took it the wrong way because you can’t tell tone through text. I was also having a really bad day so its possible I was taking it out on people who are trying to help. I’m sorry.

So all tree medication have weight gain as a side effect. Some of it being water retention, but the other part being it literally slows down some of my metabolic processes, as well as supressing my immune system. I know those saying it’s not the medication but rather it making me feel hungry are trying to be encouraging,…

Unfortunately there really are no alternative medications. If I stop any of the 3, I am at risk of spontaneous idiopathic anaphylaxis and end up in the ICU. It’s taken a long time to figure out why I was always in the hospital and now that I’m stable on medication, it would be really dangerous to try and change that.

Great thank you. And yeah, when I have pain killers in me, whatever is the easiest is usually my go to right now. Some of these look awesome!

Tried bananas and it just didn’t taste good at all. Tasted like I was drinking artificial banana flavor. I’ve never really liked bananas so that’s likely why.

It really is a pain in the backside. I have such severe allergies and I would take Benadryl when I’d start having an attack, just to get worse and end up in the hospital. I was like what the (insert whatever expletive you’d like)?!? Well, turns out pink Benadryl has red dye #40 in it. Like why would you put a common…

That actually sounds really good-did It taste as yummy as it sounds? Will definitely try this one.

Thank you both. Blending soup does sound pretty tasty right about now.
-
Thank you both. Any other suggestions? Getting tired of blended soups and protein shakes.

Honestly? None. I really wanted to like these but the texture grossed me out. I will occasionally eat a larabar, but those are sometimes too sweet/also have an odd texture.

Thank you. Waiting to hear back from doctor to see if there might be a better alternative. As much as this sounds like the medication that would help me, thecancer blackbox warning scares me. I just lost my sister in law to cancer in May and the idea that it could increase a risk for cancer makes me worried. I have a…

Oh duh lol. Blonde moment. I didn’t even think to check about other threads. True. My doctor actually went over several options with me. The one that is pretty much legalized speed he didn’t that was appropriate because it causes too many side effects. He was also concerned that that one would cause me to have a manic…

Things are stiff really rough, especially since her birthday and their anniversary are coming up (w eek apart). My brother is trying to hang in there, but he has his good days and his bad days. He’s been spending a lot of time with us which is good. He only lives 5 minutes away, but he says his apartment just feels empty,…

Thank you every one. It has been a hard weekend.

Thank you everyone

I go through periods where all I want to do is eat and other times where I want nothing to with food. I’ve also been sleeping crazy amounts and have had severe headaches. I don’t react well to this much stress.

Hi everyone-long time since I’ve been here. I know this thread is from last year, but I’m resurrecting it because I could use some ideas for low budget meals/grocery shopping tips. Unfortunately, one of the adults in our house lost their job this week (through no fault of their own) so we have to tighten our food budget…

Thanks everyone. Likely not thinking so clear because of the painkillers they gave me. I’m sure once they leave my system I will come to my senses and realize everyone here is right.

Glad to know I’m not being totally unreasonable. I’ve cleaned so much this week I should take out stock in Clorox and resolve lol.

Update: She luckily never got symptoms. We have completely changed all sheets in the house just in case. Since she never had symptoms, myself, male SO and toddler didn’t need treatment. Also brought fuzzy friends to vet (not because of the question but just in general since we added the new kitten). Vet assured me that…

Update: our other cat was so depressed that he would wander around crying all night and it just broke my heart. So I called the shelter and told them what happened. They had a huge intake of kittens this month, so we went to get a friend for our other cat. So far he has been tolerating the new addition. Little worried…

Thank you. I’m not very familiar with animal versions of scabies and couldn’t find a definitive asnwer through google. Thanks to the nature of our jobs and the “fantastic” areas we work in, my female significant other was exposed to them and is on a prophylaxis treatment for them. I know they are highly contagious between…
