  • I am 5 ft 11 inches and currently 179. After stalling out from low calories I took Helloitsdan's advice in his road map post and did my calculations. I now eat 2303 calories a day (BMR 1625) and work out 3-5 times a week. This has helped respark my weight loss and I am no longer feeling hungry and deprived.
  • Well as long as you are on the first floor and the frame is supportive there is no reason you can't jump on the bed (Kids don't get to have all the fun!). Try to use more of your core to stay in the same place or maybe try to jump higher each time. Also use the mattress to work on balance, just like using a half balance…
  • My husband has done it all, weeks, months, and even the dreaded year. It is hard no matter how long they are gone, especially with kids. I also have 3 girls and the older two have lived with this their entire lives. The youngest is just now old enough to understand and truly miss her daddy. Good luck!
  • My hubby is currently deployed so I definately know how you feel. Of course this has pretty much been a constant in our 14 years of marriage, first as a soldier and now as a contractor. It is definately hard, but I also find that I use exercise as a way to refocus my attention. With 3 kids, gym time is me time (even though…
  • I am 33 years old, 5'11'', and am finally at 179 (I plateaued at 181). I work out at least 3-5 times a week. I increased my calories to reflect my BMR two weeks ago. The first week I gained 3 pounds and the second I have dropped those 3 and 2 more. I am currently eating between 1800 and 2300 depending on my workouts but I…
  • In order to do this method of Eat More to Lose, you should eat between your BMR and TDEE, but never below or above. Right now you are eating below your BMR so you need to up your intake. You can go here and plu in your numbers and it will tell you exactly how much to eat (this is taking into consideration your exercise)…
  • I often use mine on a smoothie. I put in a litte bit of ice cream, then load in the fresh and frozen fruit. That way I manage my sugary cravings, but the fruit is actually good for me.
  • For #2 you can try Real Fruit Strips or the like. They can be found at Walmart and other stores. Instead of fruit snacks, fruit roll ups, etc. these are made with actual fruit.
  • I really like their oatmeal with the fresh fruit. It is filling all by itself. I usually pair it with unsweet tea since I am not a coffee drinker. They also have a fruit parfait but I have never tried that one myself.
  • Definately check around for a farmer's market or the like. They are usually run by local farmers and are alot cheaper then grocery stores that ship in their produce. Shop around for deals when it comes to other grocery shopping. Walmart does price matching as well so check out all the ads from the different stores. It…
  • Some of the best back stretches I have found came from a yoga instructor. The poses are Cat pose, child pose (with my arms reaching out front), and the sphinx pose. You can look them up online and they are really easy to do.
