One thing I read with going AF (which well I am more moderating) is you have to think why you drank like you did. Stress, boredom and loneliness were all reasons for me. I use the F45 challenge app for meal ideas. It is a meal plan. A challenge starts Monday. You can "join" and get just the app access for free. GardenMama I had crazy sugar cravings in the beginning and indulged to some extent. I am over it now. In fact I crave less sugar than before. I think about evening snacks now as I do have more room for food calories. I used to skimp on food to leave room for wine.

I did a diet break while on vacation last week. I was happy that I maintained (weighed the day after getting back). I weighed myself this morning after two days of being back on the program and I lost 1.4 lbs. I know it is water weight but very happy. Weight was coming off at about .5 lbs a week. I am at the last 5-10 lbs.

I had drinks on vacation but not every day and only one day had a few. Otherwise I had one glass of wine. I was also happy as I maintained my weight. I like the theory behind the alcohol experiment. I think it is helpful to go without for a bit to explore your thoughts on how alcohol affects you and why you drink. I like counting days. Today is 2 months AF. I do not think everyday is this number but my goal was basically 2 months so I feel accomplished.

Great work Erik. I joined this thread with the focus on weight loss. I have done well with the weight loss but learned a lot about how alcohol effects me. I wonder what it would be to be so far along in the AF journey. I appreciate your post and the sleeping post. I am 54 days AF and my sleep is better but not great. I hope it improves. I have been so much better on working out.

My third father's day without my dad. I miss him tons. He was a great dad. My ex has my kids and I am not so happy with his parenting right now...but kids are good. Enjoying a quiet weekend.
