PurpleLavendar thanks so much for setting up this group. It really helped me this month. I had a crap day at work yesterday ...and often times that would have meant getting a bottle of wine. Thought briefly crossed my mind and I was like NO. I feel like I have gotten a healthier view on alcohol this month. Continuing again…

I am in as well. Ended up with 5 drinks in September (assuming no more this week) which is a lot less than a normal month for me.

so I had three glasses of wine last night...they were stingy pours so probably the same as the two I had on wednesday. My stomach is a mess today and feeling dehydrated. Back on the no drinking. I feel crappy. My weight also bumped up even though I stayed within my calories.

I always use the same scale. That way I know how much i lost. Not as concerned about the actual number. However, if this is the more accurate scale you should believe it.

Not really but I guess it makes me more relaxed. I am not good at first dates. I had the second as I was feeling anxious. Should have just called it a night.

Honestly I often am dehydrated after drinking so I weigh less the day after. I don't drink beer so maybe that is different though.

I went out on the date and had two glasses of wine. The guy was a no go. I should have stuck to the one glass. Oh well. I may give up dating again.

I am 5'9" and started at 141 down to 137 so far wanting 130ish. You have to be serious at this point of the game. I have such a hard time with losing that last 10 lbs. I am 50 (ugh) and have a desk job. I work out 5 times a week. I aim for about 1200 a day unless i get some cardio in then I allow a bit more. I eat about…

I a trying dating again but it generally involves drinking. Not sure how to do this. If I say no to a drink people think I am an alcoholic or abstain 100% which I do not plan on. I guess having a drink for a date is not a big deal.

Good for you! I have made this a habit and work is crazy for me right now. So glad I have this support to not go get that bottle of wine.

I am not finding this too hard but I have not had any social outings which involved drinking. Last time I went sober for a month I avoided all parties or occasions that would involve drinking. I like this thread. Helps knowing others are doing this and have struggled.

I took spark once and had severe diarrhea afterwards. Never tried it again.

I noticed a girl at work lost weight but did not feel comfortable saying anything to her. what if I was wrong, what if she was sick, ?? I overheard saying she was not eating cake because it is not allowed and now will say something to her. Honestly, except for my closest family I would not bring up weight loss with anyone…

From 17 to 24 you should gain weight. Your body finishes growing. Your bones get denser etc. Gaining a few pounds in those years is healthy. I don’t think you need to lose weight but rather gain some muscle. You should continue at the 1500 and lift weights. Keep those bones strong and build some muscle.

This weeks challenges are easy for me. I drink tons of water and take fish oils and other things so i should be golden. Work still stinks.

Sorry doing a bad job with the extra stuff. I did get workouts in but food was not perfect as I went out of town for a wedding. Work is crazy busy right now.
