I was not familiar with the book prior to reading this post but I found this article. http://www.sheknows.com/health-and-wellness/articles/1015279/experts-weigh-in-on-the-fast-metabolism-diet It seems the "diet" has sound concepts that I use in my own life - few refined sugars and organic. That is a good thing …

I can only eat so much broccoli before I want to hurl.

Oooh...she is very wise and probably looks hot naked.

"Why are you running? It's so bad for your knees" Yeah and typing is bad for my wrists. Hmm..wonder why I never hear that

I have been researching this A LOT lately. My system has shut down since I started eating healthy and OMG the sounds coming from my tummy are CRAZY. And FIBER is not the answer. I have read about so many different "cures" like liquid chlorophyll, magnesium citrate. I am going to visit the naturopath next month for it. Best…

I googled it for you. :flowerforyou: I never tried any of these listed http://www.happycow.net/north_america/usa/florida/st_petersburg/

Have you tried running backwards? It stretches the opposing muscles. When you get splints just turn around and do it for a few yards. And then go back to running forward. I used to get horrible shin splints and I hardly ever do now since I have been doing this :flowerforyou:

I didn't mean to sound like a commercial for PlantFusion but I have been concerned about my protein intake for quite a while. And i don't always feel all that great with such an emphasis on meat, dairy in my diet. Good luck finding protein sources that work for you.
-
I have the same problem too. I just purchased the PlantFusion Chocolate rasberry after researching many different proteins. I am soo excited for it to arrive because muscle is GOOD and I like yummy treats  . •contains 21-22g of protein to support lean body mass •and 3.4g of L-glutamine to support lean body mass,…

If it is cold outside the I run with a fleece over mouth and nose for first mile. Afterwards drink lots of water, long shower, take zinc, and rub on mentholatum. Up your greens for more vitamins.

Run loose with loose laces.

You started it. Now finish it. Everyday I work on being a finisher. Today I am one day closer :-)

I have awful cravings when my blood sugar is out of control. Limiting my sugars (excluding fruit) keeps my cravings in check. Fruit fulfill my sweet cravings now :)

You aren't working out for other people so who cares what THEY think :) If you don't start somewhere, you will be no where.
-
Google the Spartacus workout if you are up for somehting new and challenging. :) All time favorite is hiking and running.
-
I googled circuit training workouts and then looked for images of each exercises. I have a binder full of exercises now. I also went to garage sales and purchased fitness DVD's and bought a few too. I use cans for my hand weights or use a pair of ankle weights

I prelog all of my main meals. Then, fill in my snacks where my macros are lacking. It definitely helps me keep on track.
-
I sit next to the candy table...not a candy dish - a whole table of sweets. So, I have been bringing in more and more of my own healthy snacks to reach for when I feel a craving start to come on. I have also been working on drinking more water, eating slower and more often. Now, I really don't go for >2hrs without eating…

I am not a gym person either. All of my workouts are in the comfort of my own living room or outside under the big blue...uhem cloudy gray sky :)

I agree with above. Nothing replaces pasta. If you really want it just plan ahead! Other posters have made great substitutions, here is 1 more: I make myself a stuffed pepper filled with brown rice and lots of meat sauce.
-
If you have ever have the opportunity check out "Amelie" with Audrey Toutou (sic). It is French, quirky, and romantic :)
-
So glad you reached out. That is the hardest part. Previous posters are right on to suggest logging your food. Focus on small steps right now. They will have a big impact soon enough. It is going to be hard moving forward. But, if you keep an eye on the prize, you will no longer be a slave to food

I have frequent issues with this too. It is so frustrating. I am even on my TOM now and I usually have the opposite problem. Can't stop thinking how full of **** I am. It feels gross. I have supplemented with laxatives, psyllium and still nothing. This is definitely the longest spell. On my way to include more magnesium in…

Hey everybody!

Dump her. She's is toxic! You are worth more and deserve more than that. Just because you have known somebody for a long time does NOT mean they can treat you like that :noway:

Great post OP! You and I are two peas in a pod albeit your math has got to be more beautiful than mine  I just like to play in Excel. I have been capturing data like this for the past 7 weeks since I have been on this site. SW 182 CW 166 The slope of my weight loss is -0.4/day. Or almost 1.9lbs per week. Right on…

 Damn...I am coming over to your house. That sounds delicious. It all depends on if you are concerned about you macro breakdown. If not, just use the "Quick add" calories. I am interested in my macros so I would find a generic egg, slice of bread, oil, and white beans and log the smallest portion. I would worry…
