1)Chocolate chip and apple oatmeal mixed with almond milk and a cut up banana. Fantastic and only 350 calories.

Love this show, I'd like to join!

Used to be 15 minutes away but only found myself going twice a week. Built my own in the basement and now workout 6 days a week. Just much more time and cost efficient for me.

This just makes people sound ignorant and uneducated of people that are different from them. While eating sweets, fried foods, chips etc. in moderation works for some, it doesn't work for all. Everyone has different mental chemistries and ways of doing things that work for them, we need to stop bashing people because they…

Agreed, posts like this have no place on the forums. 1,300 calories for some women is not that low. Why bash someone who wants to eat and be healthy? Come on people...

Vodka and ice water mixed with your favorite mio. Perfect summer drink and the extra Hydration helps.

I'd say closer to 2,500 calories. 11 miles plus 25 strenuous obstacles, hills, quick sand type mud. The average 200 lb person will burn 2,000 calories during a mini marathon and you will burn more during a TM.
-
See ya up there next week! You don't need to be able to run 8 miles comfortably. The most I ran when training for my 1st tm was 6.5 and I was hardly ever out of breath. You run a mile or so then get a break from the obstacle you are doing. I'd say be able to run at least 5 miles without stopping to be ready for the cardio…

four servings of PB2 is equal to one serving of peanut butter in calories. Perfect substitute.
-
PB2 is perfect for shakes, Oatmeal, stir fry or anything else you would use peanut butter as an adder. What a lot of these posters that bash PB2 don't understand is that most people in here are on calorie restrictions. Peanut butter has an extremely high amount of calories for a small serving. It's great if you are on a…
-
Because it also removes majority of the calories while tasting like regular peanut butter. Most people on here have calorie restrictions, PB2 helps meet said restrictions.

Ignorant question here but... do you believe white rice is better for you diesel?
-
This is correct. It's actually a lot more moving than you would think but is a great goal to strive for.

I'm in as well if there's room!

Great thread guys. Never been into cardio and I'm training for Tough Mudder. I like how some of you experienced runners state that it's mostly mental. Trying to get past the 3 mile mark but can't seem to do it.
-
Awesome job! I hate cardio and have been more of a p90x/ lifter type. Been working on the running aspect and it really does get easier each time you step on there. Keep it up!

I eat everyone of these almost daily. All very filling as well.
-
I enjoy them so much that I will cut one in half, take a spoon, and eat it plain. I have an avocado addiction.

Hi Steve, knew to the forums and this is a great thread for me from a learning stand point. I am training for a 12 mile obstacle race so am attempting to run 4 days a week while also lifting 5 days a week. Is there any truth to working out in the mornings being more efficient than the evenings? Would it be more beneficial…

Drinking heavy on weekends and then eating crap later tgat night. Waking up the next morning feeling like crap so I don't work out and then eat more crap. Alcohol is the devil!

This... I work in a place where vendors and salesmen will bring in doughnuts, pizza, cake, cookies, white castle, bagels etc. Etc. Etc. Almost every single day. I gained 10 pounds rather quickly. walking back and forth by all those foods made it nearly impossible not to grab one from time to time. So I decided that no…

This I awesome. Love the paragraph where he speaks about how privileged we all are. I always try to remember this when I am upset about something.

terrible January for me, need to redeem myself. Going for 40.
-
Thanks for sharing. I'm kind of in the same boat as you were. I'm 195 and have gained 6 pounds from lifting heavy the past few months. Just joined this website few weeks ago. I'm trying to cut 10 pounds but still experimenting with the diet portion. Would you mind explaining the major diet changes you made to drop 50…

Casino plus Super Bowl party = 195.2... Going the wrong way!
-
Sadly, this is usually my diet from m-f. This is one reason I am going to attempt iifym method.
-
Two reasons: First being that I'm not very skilled at doing the exercises right now and feel awkward when doing them. Second being that it is 90 minutes long and I don't know if I have time to fit an extra 90 minute workout in unless I take out one of the 3 mile runs. I know I should do the yoga disc as everyone says it…

Seek advice from your family. Show them what you have posted in this thread. Since you won't listen to all the advice everyone on here is giving you, see what your family has to say about the situation.

That's impressive. I must admit at 187ish pounds I could do 15 full pull ups and struggled on funky monkey And barely completed it. My issue was that I locked my arms half way through and stopped moving quickly. Great advice about the momentum. To the previous poster, the camelpak is much lighter than I expected it to be.…

I will suggest that only being able to do 3 chin ups will not be enough to be able to complete c the Funky Monkey. Pull ups are much more essential in training than chin ups.
