Hey guys, completed my first tough mudder In Nashville last July. I didn't sign up for it until 6 weeks before the event. Here is some info. To help you prepare: I was 6 feet 186 pounds At time of event. Training: I was already on my 2nd round of P90x when I signed up. P90X is perfect training! Plyometrics, legs and back,…

P90X is my standard weekly workout. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

Don't see any guys on here but I would love to participate! My name is Jordan and I am 26, 6 feet tall and 192 lbs. Been lifting heavy the past 4 months and actually gained 3 pounds since then. I feel much stronger but could stand to lose 8-10 pounds to really feel comfortable and content with myself. Going to attempt to…

Avocados, Hummus, Peanut butter and banana sandwiches, Whole wheat pasta. I have a protein shake every morning that contains whole whey protein, banana, milk and peanut butter that contains 500 calories and tastes like a milk shake. I could down 900 healthy extra calories with ease. if you haven't tried fresh avocado, I…

How many calories are you aiming to hit?

Couldn't agree more, great post! I am also new here and have already experienced far too many who feel they know everything and don't even attempt the help the op with their question. one example is the op asking about healthy snacks only to have people answer with "if it fits in your macros... there is no such thing as…

Couldn't agree more. Sadly, it seems many people on here argue there is no such thing as unhealthy foods.
-
After reading through this thread, many of you troll far too often and refuse to help the op with his original question. Why don't we try to help the man rather than troll the ones who actually are looking to make a positive influence on him. The OP clearly doesn't like taking whiskey straight so why state that he should?…

What a waste of time this post is. Please expand on your thoughts instead of unintelligent one liners that mean nothing :)

Rather comical statement by you mam... you can't tell someone that they are wrong for not liking the taste of alcohol. If you don't like the taste of something, there is nothing you can do about it. And when I almost gag everytime I try to sip straight liquor, I'm pretty sure that means I don't enjoy it. I have tried…

Because the taste of liquor is awful!

I will respectfully disagree. He is on a website where the main goal is counting calories and attempting to be/stay fit. There are plenty of great tasting unhealthy foods that we substitute out for healthier foods that don't taste as good. Why not do the same for alcohol?
-
I use salsa on everything! Tastes great and good for you.
-
Less caloric drinks give him more calories for actual food. I assume that's why he is asking.

Switch that coke to diet coke and you are good. I switch to vodka and water with mio in the summer to help stay hydrated.

Won't be in London but I will be partaking in TM Chicago. I too finished one last year. Looks like they added a few American Ninja Warrior themed obstacles. Should be more difficult and intense this year.

Everything everyone is saying is accurate in my life. The extra natural energy you have from exercising is astonishing.

+ Avocado, Hummus, almonds, quinoa, EGGS, sugar free jello for late night snack, light string cheese, salsa for condiment

Great post, agree with this 100%
-
Meaning both are unhealthy for you.. such a simple concept.
-
Comparing cigarettes to trans fats, yes. Both terribly unhealthy for you.
-
There are also plenty of 90 year old men in perfect health who have been smoking for 70 years. Does this make cigarettes good for you now? Flawed logic...
-
I am truly in shock that a few of you think Trans fats are not unhealthy.
-
Google Trans fats. All processed foods increase health risks as you age. The chemicals put into foods to make them last for years are awful for humans. It's no coincidence that healthy foods go bad quickly... because it's actual food. Being fit and being healthy are two completely different things. You can have 10% body…
-
This is incorrect. There are plenty of foods that are bad for you, even in moderation. Sure you can stay at a normal weight from keeping it to moderation but this doesn't mean these foods aren't terrible for your overall health.

Exactly!

At 189, attempting to get down to 182.

Right on target for me... Monday morning through Friday at 5:00 PM, I hit my exact calorie limits and eat extremely clean on a strict plan. Then Friday night comes and I usually end up drinking with friends. I always get hungry after I drink so I will then stop by Taco Bell at 3 am and consume a great deal of food. Wake up…
