  • Yes! I had way more fun once I started getting everything down and having the music "Fired Up" really gets me in the zone  Lol
  • It is so great that you came here for support rather than just caving in to the craving. I'm also an emotional eater, sometimes when it's really bad, I think "screw it, it doesn't even matter" but it does! And I feel SOO terrible after. You already beat a good part of the battle by staying strong and looking for support.…
  • I definitely agree with you. Sometimes, I will try to justify when I make poor food choices by using that under-calorie logic, but I still feel so guilty about it. I have committed to changing my life, not just eat the same things in smaller portions. Plus, there's no way I'd be able to eat that crap in the same small…
  • There's no way to actually target fat loss, and like TLC said, your diet is going to be the key factor in losing fat. You can tone up certain areas. Try focusing on core work like pilates to help tone up. Also, building lean muscle helps your body burn fat more effectively, but again, it won't be targeted to certain areas.
  • The pilates will probably be mostly core work, so if you feel that muscle group was worked hard enough yesterday, maybe stick to cardio today and take pilates tomorrow (but I know sometimes after a really strenuous workout, I could be sore for 2 days) Good luck, and keep pushing yourself!
  • Congrats on your new house and your 10 pounds! That is an amazing acheivement! I started a little over 2 weeks ago, and I also was originally planning on just using it as a tool. After reading some of the topics, and contributing a little over the last few days, I realized the same thing! Not only is the support and…
  • You can do it!! The great thing about DVDs is that you can go at your own pace and skill level- plus you can always hit pause if you really need it (just make sure to hit play again! LOL)
  • LOL! I'm pretty surprised about that! Last year I did weight watchers online, and they even counted sex as an exercise lol
  • Congrats on your first week! I got to week 4, but I have an Air Force PT test coming up, so I've been focusing more on running and push ups lately (although I do mix in an occasional HIIT, Core 20, or Stretch 40). My test is on the 31st, so I'll be starting back up again soon! I'm just not sure if I should start…
  • I've been tracking everything I eat religiously since I joined 15 days ago, and it's working great for me. Unfortunately though, burned calories are always going to be estimated, and it varies for different people. I've found better calculators online, and theres also this thing called BodyBugg- it's a little pricey,…
  • Great Job!!! Keep it up! The information, advice, and support on this site is incredible. I joined a little over 2 weeks ago also and love it!
  • I'm also 5'10", and the best shape I've ever been in was right after Basic Military Training, when I weighed somewhere between 160-170. And I was pretty darn skinny then- if I weighed any less I'd probably look unhealthy... I can't even imagine 128!
  • I'm from Long Island, NY, but I've been stationed in Grand Forks, ND for the last two years (It is way too cold for way too long up here!)
  • I LOVE TURBOFIRE! It is so much fun, and I have to say my favorite class is the core 20- as challenging as it is, I think it is the fastest 20 minutes ever. Chalene Johnson really inspires me also, I'm doing her 30 day challenge (Day 26!), and it is awesome, I feel more in control of my life than I ever have. If you have…
  • Hey Monique! I started only a few weeks ago also, and so far I really love this site. My husband is the same way, but he says he's proud of me for making better choices and that he's going to start eating better and working out "soon" (whenever that is!) I'm hoping I will inspire him when he sees how far I go. Good luck,…
