Unfortunately I'm inclined to agree with this guy. Little indiscrepencies add up more than we think and it's so easy to eat more than we think. Stalls or gains don't just happen. There's a reason. Try being more vigilant. Weigh your food and log accurately and make sure you're keeping track.

<-- Totally me. I am an extremely intelligent boston terrier able to not only type and use the internet, but I'm able to type in English.

I am a critical care and emergency veterinary technician. I perform CPR regularly. It's just part of my job/activity level. I never log it.

No I do not think your fiance is in the right. Your niece is going through a lot and you are essentially her mother since you raised her. It sounds cruel and way too controlling for him to not allow her around. She needs you.

Nope, doesn't work.

I usually plan things out a week ahead. Just makes it easier to stick to my goals.

Oh and because people are throwing in the eat more stuff: 1) Log every single thing you eat, even condiments, vegetables and fruit. Everything that has nutritional value counts. 2) If you don't weigh your food, start doing so. It's highly likely you're underestimating how much you are actually eating. Most dieters make…

Dear gods no. Of all the bad advice in this thread, this is the worst. 1) Log every single thing you eat, even condiments, vegetables and fruit. Everything that has nutritional value counts. 2) If you don't weigh your food, start doing so. It's highly likely you're underestimating how much you are actually eating. Most…

OMG this.

<-- Weigh your food cause you suck at estimating.

1) open your diary. No one can possibly give you advice if we don't know what you're eating. Log every single thing you eat, even condiments, vegetables and fruit. Everything that has nutritional value counts. 2) If you don't weigh your food, start doing so. It's highly likely you're underestimating how much you are…

Nope nope nope. Mostly because of the personality changes steroids can cause. But ironically since lifting weights is my main form of exercise, the steroid taking type is not my type.

Unless you're eating at a surplus, your muscles are not going to grow. If it's not a challenge, increase the weights. Even if it is a challenge, increase the weights. Unless you're unable to lift with proper form, increase the weights. If you're not able to keep proper form, don't increase the weights. In this case, lower…

So find an exercise you do like. I also dislike running (but do it anyway for reasons, and I suck at it). Lots of people dislike it. Running isn't the only exercise out there.

Untrue. Opposite of true.

Whatever you do, just make sure it's pink. (I started with the olympic bar)

I generally give myself a break. Especially if feeling weak and dizzy. My body needs rest to heal, so I let it. Also, I lift heavy things and I feel like it's dangerous if I'm feeling lightheaded. Seems like a large percentage of this site say to do it anyway. I've never taken that advice.

It was my first gym and it served me well to get me over the fear and awkwardness of it, and it's cheap. It's fine for someone who just wants to use cardio machines. I outgrew it though.

I work 4 12 hour shifts with appoximately 1 1/2-2 hour commute each way. I end up getting 5-6 hours of sleep during the day between my shifts. Getting up early to workout is simply NOT an option for me, so I stop at the gym on my way home after work.

Um, however much tastes good and fits my macros? Not sure I understand the question.

I like Tidy Cats with the grey lid. It has febreeze in it that really cuts down on odor. I also scoop twice a day (multiple cats).

True! <-- Proud curmudgeon.

I love how it took exactly a year for someone to attempt to answer this question. (also, this thread has just become an extremely enjoyable read)

All I can think of is that Simpsons episode where all the kids tried it and broke limbs or died.

I use an app (on my android) called StrengthCalc Natty. I put my stats in and choose one of the many programs it has (I'm doing 5/3/1, but it has All Pro, Starting Strength, Stronglifts, and tons others) and it tells me how much to lift and how many sets. You can also log what you've lifted. ETA: for what it's worth, I've…
