I've never been an early riser. If there's a chance I could sleep just a little longer, I'll take it. Exercising after work just works so much better for me. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I am disappointed by the thread title. I was expecting something sort of mashing up of bicycles or something. Also- you cannot spot reduce, sorry. But you can lose weight everywhere with a calorie deficit.

Protein shakes will not help you lose weight. A calorie deficit will. I do however use protein powder if I need it to reach my protein goal for the day. A diet higher in protein allows me to feel fuller and less likely to go over my limit. I'll also use it for recipes to up the protein content. But protein powder has…

I think I get this, it's sort of binge disorder thinking. You want to do something bad just because it's bad. You don't really want a cookie, you just want it because you're not supposed to have it. If this is the case, a lot of people are missing the point. And are lucky to have never experienced this.

I work a lot and take caffeine pills. Sometimes I'm just so tired I can't get myself to drink coffee or an energy drink. But I also don't think there's anything wrong with soda, diet or otherwise.

My suggestion- deload using just the bar and work on your form. If you're not sure if your using correct form, there are many instructional you tube videos. I usually search "Rippetoe Squat Form" and get exactly the results I need. Bad form WILL lead to injuries. And don't forget to warm up first.

When muscles are healing from exercise, they swell with water. Your weight gain is simply temporary water weight. Muscles require a surplus of energy to grow, you cannot grow muscles if you are eating a deficit. It is also extremely hard to grow muscles as a female.

I'm going to go with, yes, it's too much. Losing 50 lb in 10 weeks first of all is a little unrealistic. Second of all, what are you going to do after you lose the weight to maintain it? Is this a schedule that you're going to stick to long term?

No it won't help you lose weight. It's simply a nutritional supplement to increase protein intake.

I log on a 24 hour basis. I have my diary set up into 6 4 hour increments. 8am-12pm 12pm-4pm 4pm-8pm 8pm-12am 12am-4am 4am-8am I just log my food in whatever time slot I eat it.
