@autumnblade75 Looks like WD is offering 20% off, likely includes Joliet.. https://warriordash.com/first-day-of-summer-2019/?fbclid=IwAR0O1nXOq8sgnY0e2AaErY0mYy2TTaCaKuDeqbucIFP3vmNyynlh534m5Fo

@Sunshine_And_Sand Thanks for the info! I have heard about the lines, for me that would actually be a good thing to be able to rest up after the running and before starting the obstacle. The goal for my team is to have fun and to look forward to the beer afterwards.

@autumnblade75 Yeah that price is unfortunate. I have been attempting to talk others into joining our current team of four but the price is a bit of a hurdle. We had signed up awhile ago when it was much cheaper. Guess its a good thing we did not wait. Well maybe next year!

@autumnblade75 Wow that leg looks nasty!! Hopefully you decide to make another run at it this year in Joliet! I'll be there!!

Thanks! Great pic!! I have heard that many donate their shoes after the race because they are pretty much trashed afterwards! I guess WD has some type of way to get them clean again...I have a pair that I have slated to be trashed afterwards!
-
Thanks! My shoulder issues seem to only surface when I resistance train. I've got to see a doc soon after I complete this race to hopefully get them fixed so I can once again resistance train. For a 56 year old guy resistance training is so important. Right now I'm resting my shoulders in conjunction with ramping up my…

Thanks!! My shoulder issues are marginal, just seem to have issues with resistance training. Which is very unfortunate because I lost a ton of weight when I was able to lift consistently. I will be crossing this one off my bucket list soon as well!!

Unfortunately I'm way late because the race is scheduled for July 13th. I was going to do the couch to 5 K plan but lost track of time. I have been doing run / walks (can't run 5 K straight through) and still consider myself in pretty good shape. Been running hills also and feel like I'm getting stronger. And I would…

Wow lots of weddings! It's a great incentive for sure.
-
From what I have heard this is great advice!! Another bit of advice, should you go this route, is to stay close to home.
-
Yeah Niko, I'm in the same boat...was doing great lost some weight, then feel off the wagon and gained most of it back. But i"m back it again!! Hoping to be able to stick to it with more discipline this time.

Wow great job on the weight loss!! Beautiful pup as well!!

So there is a ton of advice floating around this thread. Great to see the MFP family coming together to help someone in need. I'm not even going to attempt to offer any more direct advice, but I will suggest just one thing perhaps a little off topic. So you mentioned that you returned to your house (and I realize it is…

MFP needs a "like button"!

Yes it is difficult for sure. I don't travel any where near as much as you do but the amount that I do impacts my ability to loose weight. 600 feet..... as in two football fields in the air??? Daym that's high!!

I fell off the wagon as well. Lost a bunch of weight but unfortunately gained it all back. BUT I believe I am back in the game again. My daughter’s wedding is in July and I have to get going. Not sure what the plan is going to be beyond “burn more calories than I take in”. My dog loves, loves, loves her walks so with the…

I'm no fan of Greek either. Weird because it seems to be so popular right now. I prefer Yoplait myself. They say to use plain and add your own fruit cause if they add it there seems to be allot of sugar with it. I don't think Yoplait has a plan tho which is unfortunate. I usually just get their "light".

It would appear that the only thing you are capable of explaining (or demonstrating) is your incompetence when it comes to pizza.

Hi, was just wondering how you came up with the 4000 calorie burn within a week? I often wonder, because sometimes I tend to over do it, if there is a max guideline I should be shooting for. Sometimes I get "burnt out" from what seems to be "too much", but I never know what "too much" is until its too late. So is the 4000…

So sorry to hear that cause NYC knows nothing about pizza. We all know the only "real pizza" is served here in Chicago. LOL :) TY OP for a fast lunch option that allows for some creativity.

Sorry about all the questions...I'm just so excited LOL

Wow very very cool!!! What kind of puppies are they? The one kinda looks like he has some rott. Where did you get them? How old are they? Are they from the same litter? What are their names? Two females? They look adorable!!

^^^^ This ^^^^ There are many restaurants that do not offer these choices, so Chili's is always an excellent choice for going out and watching what you are eating.

Isn't MFP awesome? It really does raise awareness. You don’t think anything can possibly contain that many calories when in fact it does. Like one of the other posters said just pick a comparable burger from within the MFP database. It does not have to be an exact match, it rarely is. When you first start tracking…

Yay finally got the new couch and recliners bought. Thank God thats done. The recliners we bought were made by a company called "Southern Motion". I couldn't resist just based on the name of the company. I mean, does that name just fit a recliner, or what.... I just thought that was the coolest name. Anyways, didn't make…

Great work Bill!!

Great work Kelsey!! The elliptical is now my favorite to burn calories. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for me. Went apple picking yesterday and caved to the apple donut sundae. As if that was not bad enough I bought my son some apple donuts and dropped them off at his place. My son is a home brewer and just so happens…
