um, okay. only reason it is good to check measurements is to see what KIND of weight you're losing. if you want to lose your muscle mass to "lose weight" be my guest. Personally, I'd like to minimize my muscle loss and increase my fat loss.

LOL, this is me everyday. Queen of the temper tantrums, right here!

I think we all have people that are "meant" to be with us during certain points of our lives.

I'm thinking if you have to ask an online source for baby info than you need to call. This should not be your first avenue of advice.

awww that made my heart smile! I am so happy for you. Running is such an amazing release. I sprained my ankle Sunday during a run so I haven't been able to do anything (and probably won't for a couple weeks). Don't ever take the ability to run for granted. I have learned to love it SO much and I miss it terribly.

You look great! I'm just a little worried, your ticker says you still have more weight to lose. I don't think you need to lose anymore! And actually since you're working on "toning" now I would say a little increase in muscle mass and decrease in body fat may even increase your weight. Just looking out for you! I just…

For the love of God, please eat back at least half of those exercise calories.
-
I have heard that very low calorie diets cause you to be cold. Don't remember the science behind it though. My guess is you aren't eating enough. That would account for being overly tired as well.

Body by Vi and shakeology and stupid body wraps and beachbody coaches pushing expensive programs on you annoy the crap out of me. I DON'T WANT YOUR STUPID PRODUCT. ok, rant over
-
because apparently the entire body shuts down if you go one calorie below 1200.

I'm pretty sure race doesn't have anything to do with it. BMI is just an indicator of health. Personally, I don't like BMI, I prefer body fat percentage. Regardless of race, having an elevated level of body fat will cause health issues in the long run.

I wish I had that problem. Try to not "limit" any foods? everything is fine in moderation if you make sure to watch your macros

Up the muscle mass then! I usually get the opposite thanks to all of my muscle mass. People usually think I weigh 10-15 pounds less than I really do.

is this for the zombie apocolypse? you're so sweet, looking out for those zombie's taste buds

that is why head phones exist

I'll eat some of your calories for you if you don't want them... oh wait? it doesn't work like that you say?

Interesting, but as a former athlete that gained weight and then lost it... I think it is A LOT easier to lose weight when you have been in shape most of your life and just let yourself go for a while. 6 months really isn't that long of a time for you to get incredibly out of shape. I was a competitive swimmer all my life,…

I don't know. Everyone tries to make it so mathematical and complicated. Eat healthy around the number you think you should, if it works, keep doing it. Seems pretty simple to me.
-
fair enough. a lot of people do lose weight on VLCD. The fact of the matter is that there are healthier options to lose weight. but whatever, do what you want. continue to eat your 1000 calories a day and wonder why you aren't losing. I'll be over here eating 1800+ calories enjoying my normal meals and enjoying extra…

I have changed my goals to be 30%, personally, I try to hit 1g per pound of lean mass (for me that is 105 grams).
-
^this is my view as well. I don't panic if I eat something that isn't completely clean though, it just isn't completely practical and cost efficient. if around 75% of the food I eat is whole, fresh foods or at least organic, I feel pretty good about myself.

so basically you're burning almost everything you eat through exercise, let alone normal daily activity. sorry hun, but you are setting yourself up for failure. if you are working out intensely you NEED to eat. check out the group eat more to weigh less. I promise eating 1000-1200 calories a day and working out a lot is…

exercise = inflamed muscles = water retention for repair it is most likely that your muscles are retaining water and that is the weight gain/lack of weight loss. I doubt you've gained fat or a significant amount of muscle mass. make sure you give yourself an adequate rest day each week, 1-2 days is ideal so that your…

I usually throw it on a salad.

They always bother me. hitting on me and picking on me and telling me how I should do things when I'm not asking for help. maybe it is just my gym, but most of the guys in there are very pretentious and think they know it all

since this thread started yesterday, anyone know how she did? hahahahaha sorry, I find this to be so funny

^this. you need to net 1200 calories. so whatever you burn through exercise you are allowed to eat. for example, burn 500 calories through exercise, eat 1700... 1700-500=1200 but I don't even suggest you netting 1200 calories unless you are very short. figure out your BMR and net that.
-
Run. it is the ONLY exercise that I am able to burn over 10 calories a minute. I'm fairly small though, so my burns are low.
