  • you really need to watch your intake. if you're not lifting very heavy you are probably at a lower deficit than you were when you were doing cardio. You may need to start lifting heavier, add in more cardio on the off days or watch your intake. You may be eating way more than you realize.
  • My mouth dropped! What an incredible transformation! Don't give up, you can do it! Your health is ALWAYS worth it :flowerforyou:

  • Body pump is more cardio/light weights. NROLFW is heavy lifting. I would go with NROLFW. you'll have more muscle gains in a short time and the after burn effect is great at burning calories. I would just watch your intake if you're worried about bulking up too much.
  • that is awesome! I started it but it was way too easy for me... I even skipped a week or two and nothing. Even with 'pushing the up button' and doing all the modified advanced moves. Definitely going to have to switch to weight lifting, I loved JM though and 8 of her videos got me into great shape. Such great shape that…
  • GAH that lady has some nerve. I'm so sick of people trying to force their opinions down everyone else's throat. This goes with EVERYTHING else. Politics, Race, Religion, Eating Habits, Lifestyle choices....the list goes on and on.... just because you don't like something doesn't mean you can dictate how someone else lives…
  • I have found that eating healthy has been cheaper than the way I ate before. I was eating a ton of fast food and eating out though, which was getting expensive. (plus I was just eating "more" food). Eggs are very cheap and I eat those every morning. Plan oats for oatmeal is cheap too and doesn't go bad quickly. A good loaf…
  • what is wrong with a plain grilled steak and a loaded baked potato? I eat it once a week and it is DIVINEEEEE.
  • seriously though. I think some people just stink. even with showers. I don't stink and I don't necessarily shower before I go to the gym. It is called deodorant. I'm pretty sure we all got the talk in elementary school. then again, if I'm working my butt off, getting really sweaty so that I can look hot as heck outside of…
  • Phone Wallet Chapstick Gum Tampons?...this depends tho. I had to stretch to find a fifth item...
  • I seriously have no excuses...
  • I know it is frustrating, but you need to remember that weight loss is MOSTLY diet, not exercise. So maybe you need to take a look at your intake and adjust some things?
  • excuse me while I go into a carb coma...
  • suzie hotttt, love the long hair

  • I don't want to be friends with someone that I don't at least know a little something about. Someone friends you, leaves no message, has nothing on their profile. Sorry, I'm not in the habit of collecting friends.
  • It's been 4 months and I'm still chipping away...
  • I disagree. Most online sources aren't accurate. They give me readings of close to 30% sometimes which is no where near correct, I am around 20%. They also don't take in account where some people store their body fat.
  • Everyone's body looks different at different body fat percentages. The lower you go the more muscle mass will show, so depending on that will make you look "ripped" or not. Get it checked by a doctor. Personally, I found a caliper that I use myself that is really accurate. My scale also gives me a very similar reading.…
  • a lot of people have knee issues from 30ds. it could be an issue with your form on the squats and lunges, or it could be the plyo. try the modifications from now on and really make sure you performing the exercises with proper form. maybe get someone to watch you doing it to make sure your knees are dropping over your toes…
  • I got distracted when you said she was doing Insanity at the gym. I've never heard of people doing workout videos...at the gym....
  • I've seen a skinny fat anorexic though. When you don't eat enough your body burns muscle along with fat for fuel. Which makes you skinny and small, but mega flabby with a sluggish metabolism. Typically, those that eat very little for a long time, gain ALL the weight back AND more when they go back to normal eating. That…
  • I already make it with milk, which surprisingly helped with the taste. It just seems so bland either way. I tried the peanut butter but I didn't like the consistency. I love the cinnamon idea with almonds and apples...YUM! and strawberries and yogurt. I will definitely try that, thanks

  • Thank you for proving the importance of birth control... NOT ready for that. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE kids, even work with them and plan on having them one day. Just wayyyyyy far in the future.....
  • I am shocked at so many tall people aiming for weights so low. I'm barely 5'4" and my goal is 120. Goodness... We all need to focus on how our bodies look and body fat percentage and not the number on the scale. 115 at 5'7" cannot be healthy...
  • I thought this thread was going to be about Victoria's Secret Cotton Underwear...ooops...
  • do not touch the red button!
  • if it gets your heart rate up, then yes.
  • I LOVE WHEY PROTEIN. it is awesome and the only way I can hit my necessary amount of protein for the day. you won't gain muscle unless you are eating more than you are burning, which won't happen. protein will just help with muscle recovery/repair which will aid in muscle maintenance and strength building. whey protein…
  • Personally, I agree that it is dumb to track cleaning (I personally think of it as "extra" calories burned that I don't track). That being said, don't be discouraged about your own fitness plan. I'm pretty sure we both know who will be better off in the end. By tracking things like cleaning, they are only cheating…
