Eating below your BMR leads to muscle loss.... Our bodies are constantly striving for balance. It gets used to the calorie level so when you stop losing you up your calories to be closer to your maintenance goal. Not drop them. Eating 250 calories below your TDEE equals to a one pound weight loss every two weeks. When you…

^^THIS. Yea, you're losing now, but guess what? You're most likely losing muscle mass. And I don't know about you but I would like to keep my muscle and lose my fat. You should be NETTING 1200 calories a day (OR MORE). It will take more than 3 weeks to repair your metabolism, and from what I've read, you were most likely…

I know how you feel. I just want to be under 130 and I'm about 5 pounds away. I'm not always good with my diet however, and I know if I were to watch what I ate for a month I would probably get to where I want to be  If something isn't working than fix/change it. Your body won't change because it has gotten used to…

O MY GOSH!!!! YOU are a true inspiration! you need to preach your story to the masses. NO ONE has an excuse. Keep up the great work and good luck on the rest of your journey

yep, yep. It is why I am here in the first place. I have always been in great shape, then I went back to school, got mega stressed out and coped with alcohol and food. Led to 25 pounds in about a year. Keeping the binges in check has been a huge battle for me as far as weight loss goes.

I just drink my protein powder with water. It tastes like chocolate milk to me. yummy

yes sir, I have no problem listening to someone with abs like yours....
-
Just make sure you have a tan. Pasty man legs are a no-no.

Water weight?

Only when I'm drunk! :drinker:

Typically your body holds on to water for a reason (i.e. repair) so I don't suggest you trying to deplete these water stores. If you are really concerned make sure you are drinking enough water and watching your sodium intake. If your sodium is high, you will need a lot of water to help flush it out of your system and…

I switched to maintenance. I would LIKE to lose 10-15 more pounds but I am happy with where I am now. I'm still working out and making good decisions, I just have a lot of stress from my life from school and work and I need to focus on that and not obsessing over what I eat. I've still been losing weight even though I log…

Personally, I have found that getting enough protein keeps me from getting overly sore. I have a protein shake after every work out. Eating enough to combat the amount of exercise is important. Sometimes being sore is just part of the journey. Make sure you get a COMPLETE rest day.

While I only have about 15 more pounds to lose, I can understand how hard it is when you're a student and on a budget. For the record: My grocery bills have DROPPED since I started my journey. Processed foods, fast food and eating out is far more expensive than healthy natural foods!

I have to agree. It is really hard to predict your actual max heart rate. I can run 2-3 miles at 90% of my "apparent" max heart rate. I don't feel as if I'm working that hard either. Anyways, what I have found that helps me is I slowed down my pace. I'm a glutton for pain so pushing myself past that "I HAVE TO STOP" point…

Personally, all of my meals and snacks are typically around 300 calories. Dinner is the only exception and I tend to get closer to 400-500. I never really eat big meals and prefer to spread out my calories over the day.

I know how you feel. I have the same problem. Mostly because every time I have lifted in the past I have attracted unwanted attention from men. Do you have a program you plan to follow? Have you seen a personal trainer? I suggest getting a plan that you want to follow. Having something to focus on will help. The New Rules…

From what I see, you need to be eating your exercise calories. I know it sounds like counterproductive, but MFP already calculates a deficit for you. I PROMISE you will lose weight eating 1500+ calories a day. I am losing about a pound a week (I weigh 135) and I eat well over 1600 calories a day. Try eating back at least…

Didn't watch it, but I think you are fine as long as your stick to fresh unprocessed foods. Limiting the amount of processed and added sugars is what matters, and that is easy to do if you watch how much processed foods you eat. Processed foods are the enemy.

Hahahaha! that's where I met my awesomely in shape boyfriend...at the gym. He came up to me though. We've been going strong for about a year and a half now

I have an entire page on pinterest dedicated to cute baby animals.

^^^You took the words right out of my mouth.

with water... Mine tastes like chocolate milk like that.

bump, I have the same problem and need a solution as well.

I wear a champion bra. But i get a size smaller than I really need so they don't move much. I'm not huge though, only a 34C. Oddly enough, I've read countless times that it is okay if the girls move a little when you run and exercise because it helps build the muscles under your breasts. Which, in turn, keeps them perkier…

You have such a tiny waist and lovely hips! I'm so jealous! I look like a boy with no curves haha
-
It really depends. I wear a HRM and sometimes the machine is higher and sometimes it is way, way lower. Usually when I do intervals on the machine the calorie count is way lower than it really is. Just get a HRM, they are cool and fun

You need a rest day. Every time you exercise you are tearing up your body. You need to give it a day once a week to heal and repair. If stopping exercise once a week sounds scary to you, try light walking on that day. Oh and maybe take a look at your protein content. I know the more protein I get the easy it is for my body…

I go over in sugar almost everyday and I don't worry about it. All of my sugar comes from pure sources, fruit sugar or natural sugar. It is the processed sugars that you need to worry about.

Ok, but it is clearly evident that cardio is good for overall health? Yea, you might see someone on the treadmill at the gym for too long everyday. Have you ever wondered that maybe heart disease runs in their family or any other cardiovascular disease and by running or jogging or cycling or swimming these people are…
