I 100% disagree! HRMs don't only work if you are doing cardio, they work for all types of activities. Based on your thought, you only burn calories doing cardio. You burn calories 24hrs a day. Even with strength training, you can burn many calories. And knowing the number of calories you burn during ALL kinds of exercises…

No Butter, No Sour Cream, corn tortilla instead of flour and No two types of full fat cheeses...

You are having some great success...definitely see the weight loss. Great Job!

Do you have the Polar Chest strap that has the detachable HRM (like for the FT4 or FT7)? I know that Polar has sports bras with the strap built in and all you have to do is snap on the HRM to it...

I have seen this too. Some people who I am friends with and who I actively tell them they are not eating enough, have some of their friends say "way to be under your goal" or "great logging" when they are eating 700-800 calories a day...I know there are times to be positive but not when someone is starving themselves...

Insanity has been around awhile. In my opinion go for it. Give it 100% when you can and take the needed breaks. As time goes along, your fitness level will increase and you will be able to keep up...just keep pushing play!

I'm going to let you in on a little secret...there is no magic pill when it comes to weight loss. To get results you have to put in the work and sweat and make the changes. 80% nutrition, 20% exercise.

Welcome Jessica...

Month One of Insanity are 30-45 minute workouts and Month two are 45-60min. P90X are around 60min or longer.
-
Do you want an intense cardio base workout (Insanity) or a intense weight routine (P90X). Both will get anyone into shape and both are great programs...you cannot go wrong with which ever program you choose. For other great programs but not as intense, you can go with Turbo Fire or Cha-LEAN Extreme...

Welcome Back!

Welcome to both of you...MFP is a great site of motivators and supportive people. I find my motivation in my wife and kids. My wife and I do Beachbody workouts. She does Turbo Fire and I do Insanity. Seeing the body transformations I have seen with our workouts helps us keep pushing play and working out.

Well, they should play if your Blu-Ray player plays standard DVDs. If the videos play in a standard DVD player then something is up with your Blu-Ray player. If the videos do not play in a standard DVD player then call BB and they will send you new videos for free...
