I am getting my calories burned by using the Polar FT4 watch/HRM...it's pretty extreme exercise for the 30 mins and its a mix of strength/cardio but Idk, and as far as like the almonds, it says 28 nuts is 170 calories on the bag, and I only needed 150 cals or whatever so I calculated how many calories each nut is, and just…

I changed it to public! Didn't realize it was private lol. I also found out my BMR and TDEE and also changed my macros to fit my lean body mass and such, so I am going to up my calories to 1500 this week. Will change my diet to fit my macros (which I did today) and will try this new way for me!

That makes much more sense! Lol

Doing this! This makes so much sense! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/931670-bmr-and-tdee-explained-for-those-needing-a-guide

I did the TDEE calculator, and when it did my macros, because I would need 209 grams of protein and a bunch of fat bc of my weight, it left me with only 20 grams of carbs for the whole day?! That doesn't even seem healthy! Anybody have any thoughts on that? And why are the suggested macros so different than mfp's? Ugh

Whenever I exercise, I wear a Polar watch/HRM to calculate calories burned. I do log every tiny thing into my diary.

Yeah I know the scale is such a mind game! When I only weighed 150-160 lbs I never cared much about the number because I wasnt severely overweight. I guess I just figure since I'm over 200 lb , then the number should definitely be moving. I am just going to try upping my calories by like 100 at a time and see how I loses…

Macros? What is that?
-
Yeah I have my settings in mfp to lose 2 lb per week. And my exercise has been a mix of strength and cardio. I am not nursing, so Im not burning any extra calories there. Maybe I will just try 1350 this week under the "lose 1.5 lb per week" mfp setting and just see if it changes....guess I should just experiment lol

Thanks so much guys! And I have never really heard of cycling calories like that before to get off a platea! Will definitely do that if/when I hit mine! Great advice!

That really is great results though considering you aren't doing anything extra hardcore! (Even though just eating really healthy is hardcore for me at this point haha) I have done calorie counting several times before and always got results, I just have to learn to stop being an emotional eater which is my biggest…

Oh and let me also mention that I am gone 10 hrs a day, 5 days a week as a correctional officer, and don't do too much physical activity there. So relatively sedentary job that also takes up a massive amount of my schedule.
