  • Wow, you are a total inspiration to all! You've done a fantastic job, and look so great! :flowerforyou: :drinker:
  • Like the others all said, DON'T GIVE UP, drink lots of water, log everything, and keep getting your exercising in, and the weight WILL come off! Just check out all the members who have lost anywhere from 40 to 150 pounds. MFP REALLY, REALLY, DOES work, so just stick with it!
  • Wow, 10 pounds?! That's fantastic! And here I thought my 2 pound loss was really good! :ohwell: :grumble:
  • Hi , and welcome! MFP REALLY, REALLY DOES work! I was here a few years ago and actually reached my goal. But, my knees were bad, and eventually I had to have double knee replacements, so I couldn't exercise and gained half of what I'd lost back. So now I'm back, and going strong! As you'll see from all the posts (threads)…
  • Unbelievable! AWESOME! You've done a fantastic job! :drinker:
  • Same here! I exercise to "up" my numbers so that I can eat more!
  • Congratulations! :flowerforyou: You've got every right to pat yourself on the back! You're doing a fantastic job! Keep it up!

  • INCREDIBLE! YOU LOOK SOOOO FANTASTIC! Thanks for posting, it really helps everyone who's struggling realize that they CAN lose the weight that they want to!
  • That's so funny, I think the first line in my profile says that the only way I lost weight was with my divorce! I did really well with my weight after that till I got myself another guy, married, and "got contented" again! Since I want to KEEP this one, I guess it's up to me and MFP to get the weight off!
  • Wow, just like everyone else, I've gotta say that you look totally awesome, and are really an inspiration to the rest of us who are just starting out! I'd say you're also helping those who might be getting discouraged because they're not losing as fast as they'd like. You're pics are showing everyone that MFP REALLY,…
  • Wow, that's EXACTLY the way I've been feeling since I came back last week after about a 2 year absence. I can't believe how downright cruel some of the members are with their comments! And when I said something like that in a post, agreeing with a few others who felt the same way, I got slammed too! It's too bad some…
  • And the Kellog's Fiber Plus bars taste better than Fiber One bars. [/quote] Never heard of those before. Do THEY make people gassy?
  • Ok, so two of you said they didn't taste good, so I guess I won't bother buying them. I DO plan on buying a box of the Oats and Chocolate bars soon though. My hubby is going on a long trip for 5 or 6 days, so I can eat em and fart all I want to, and he won't be here to complain!!! LOL
  • Hmmm, well, maybe I'll try ONE of them sometime, and see what happens. I get pretty awful about 6 hours after eating my morning oatmeal too. Years ago when I was on MFP before knee problems and surgery, members would write that your body would eventually get used to the extra fiber you were giving it. BUT, in my case…
  • You look FANTASTIC! It's people like you who are giving me the hope that maybe this time, I CAN lose the weight that I want to! I can't believe all the members on here who have lost 50, 75, 100, and even MORE!!! MFP totally rocks!
  • I soooo agree with these members! I've been away from MFP for about 2 years due to bad knees which had to be replaced, and couldn't believe alot of the posts when I started back. Members used to be helpful and supportive, yet so many threads now seem to be cutting people down and being totally judgemental. I even read one…
  • LOL, I LOVE your "old new" line, cuz that's what I am too! Welcome back and welcome newbies to MFP. I'm back after about 2 years away, due to bad knees. I'm back now with double knee replacement, and hope to AGAIN reach my goal weight. With MFP, it doesn't even take luck, so no sense saying "good luck" to everyone. All you…
  • I've got your 5 months beat, I've been away from MFP for almost 2 years, due to knee problems. But, now I'm back, with my replaced knees! I'd reached my goal before, and hopefully I'll do that again! MFP REALLY does work, we all just need to watch our numbers and get some exercise! We can ALL do this!
  • Just like one of the others said, I exercise to eat more! Once I started seeing my daily numbers, I needed to do something to up those numbers! I can't afford a gym, so I had my hubby make me an oldies cd of all my fast favorites, and I dance to that, which is fun! I also walk and jog to the Wii. Exercising CAN be fun you…
  • Welcome to you too! You SHOULD be excited, because MFP REALLY DOES work, and best of all, it's free! I'm hoping that I'll have the excellent results that I had when I first joined. All it really takes is logging your foods honestly, and then working with your numbers. If you need more numbers, get some exercising in. I…
  • Hi and welcome! I'm also attempting to get back myself, after gaining about 25 pounds over the last few years. I had bad knees and couldn't exercise away all the calories I'd eat every day. And believe me, I can EAT! I had my knees replaced over a year ago, and am finally back to dancing to my oldies and walking when the…
  • Hi. I was born in MA, but have lived in NH for over 35 years now. I also did the WW thing several times over the years, as well as just about every other "diet" out there! When I came to MFP years ago, I WAS able to lose all the weight, and in fact reached my goal. I'd mainly done it through exercising, which in my case…
  • I not only used to go to Curves, I worked there for a year or so too. It was fun going around the circuit, but didn't really seem to help much with losing weight or losing very many inches. And I HATED having to measure the women each month, cuz each one of us that worked there held the measuring tape differently, some…
  • Hi Barbicat and everyone else here! I used to be a dedicated MFP member years ago, and even reached my goal weight. I'd done it mainly through exercise, which was dancing to my oldies and walking when the weather permitted. However, I had very bad knees, and once I stopped the exercise, and continued my bad eating habits…
  • Thanks Corrie. I know what I write to welcome the newbies is wicked long, but I do it because I sooooooo want everyone to know that MFP REALLY, REALLY, DOES work! I actually lost all the weight that I wanted to, but then wasn't nearly as dedicated as I had been for like the last 2 months. But, I'm back, and watching my…
  • You're very welcome! I know my "speel" is wicked long, but, I just want everyone who sees it to know that MFP REALLY, REALLY, DOES work!
