Hey guys! I'm 26 and have never really done the low cal way, never had the dicipline! Resigned myself to just continue exercising and hoping something would happen. Anyhow, found this group, figured out the correct amount (which was easily doable for each day!) and haven't looked back. Feel free to add me. Quick side note,…

That changes of course depending on what I guessed wrong on there. Cathe is really lifting type workout, sets, reps, and rests? Or constant activity with no rests, more cardio type? **Cathe is broken up into 3 months, each a different focus. Currently it is endurance, 60% 1RM for 12-15 reps to failure. There is roughly a…

Thank you, that does help! Are you currently doing the reset, eating maintenance, or cutting? I know you mentioned you had gained since upping calories, which is normal with the reset. I didn't ever do vlcd, mainly because if I eat below 1500 I get awful headaches, super irritable, and my blood sugar takes a nose dive. I…

KarenJanine, How have you been doing with the workouts??? I'm so excited to get going, but more nervous than I care to admit :) Were you a heavy lifter before starting STS? I'm sore from the 1RM tests, but glad I'm taking the time to complete before starting the program, it will help me save so much time once I get going.…

Heybales, thank you for all the information, you have no idea how helpful it's been! It's all making sense to me now, and honestly after just completing the 1RM testing, and seeing how sore that alone made me, I was nervous how I'd get through intense HIIT workouts on off days without burning out each week. I appreciate…

Thank you for that response! I had just heard that HIIT was the best alternative to steady state cardio, and was merely assuming it was the best cardio option for optimal results on the days I'm not lifting. What you're saying makes complete sense, though, especially before/after leg days specifically. What would you…

Sorry for the typo, I eat the TDEE-15% each day is what I meant. Also, today I did Bodypump for 50 minutes, a bike ride for 30 minutes (light effort) and I'm moving, so packing/moving boxes, etc. (the extra activity will be done this week, so the amount will be less in the future) which is how I came up with the amount of…

I have been doing bodypump (60 minutes of weight circuits basically) 3x a week and 90 minutes of various intensities of cardio 3x a week (running 30 minutes and 60 minutes of bike, elliptical, or other cardio). I eat 1400 a day and drink atleast a gallon of water a day. I have lost about 1-1.5 lbs a week since starting…
