Eating more is wonderful!! I have lost more eating this way than when I was eating 1200 cals.
-
I am down 38.5 lbs in all now and 25 of that is since I started EM2WL.
-
I plateaued for almost 12 weeks but I continued doing what I was doing and then the weight started coming off again. I have lost 15 lbs since that 12 week plateau. Oh and I took a couple one week diet breaks in there as well.

I agree, cut out some of that cardio. You need rest days too to build muscle. You also need to eat in a slight caloric surplus in order to gain muscle. Check out the program Strong Lifts 5x5. It's free and easy and works.

Kiki-if you add that to the site, can you take out the part about 1:1 fat ration loss from dieters. That isn't supported by any actual studies, it was what my naturopathic doctor said to me based on her experience in her practice with her clients. So it isn't backed up by studies or anything. BUT even though it isn't…

Sure you can share it on the site :)

Nope I don't mind at all!

First...YOU ARE AMAZING! Second, I want to add something about patience and those doing a metabolism reset (or not). I have been having my metabolism monitored for the last 4 months. I'm not exactly sure what the numbers mean but apparently our metabolism should be at a 37 or greater, when I first started having it…

Oh and I have actually been able to build some muscle as well since I'm eating more while lifting heavy weights. Building muscle is really difficult to do, especially on a deficit. But I have put on 4 lbs of muscle in the last 4 or 5 months. And dropped 20 lbs of fat in the last 6-7 months. All it is, is creating a smaller…

I am an EM2WLer! I never eat below my BMR of 1600 and eat anywhere from 1600-2000 to lose. At one point I was eating 2500 most days but the weight loss was too slow for my liking, since I still have 30-40 lbs to lose. But I was losing on that many cals. It was just more like .2 per week. Right now I am losing anywhere from…

Greek yogurt, almonds, fruit, protein bars, chicken....and chocolate covered blueberries to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I also have months and months of data tracked and I had a 3 month long plateau where I tracked diligenty, every single bite. The scale did not move. Thankfully my measurements were changing though. I think many people think they are on a plateau but are only using the scale as a measure of success which is rarely the best…

You ladies are the best! I was also lucky to find this group when it first began and you really saved me.

I look great at 140 lbs. I have a large frame and I'm muscular.

"Humans are the only species that drink another species milk" Humans are also the only species to use computers, drive cars, talk, grow crops etc. Also, since we started eating things like wheat and dairy our life expectancy has gone up, not down.

Trial and error for me. I have been losing just about every week eating at my TDEE minue 500.
-
Gotta love judgemental people.
-
Why? I weigh myself every day. It helps me stay on track. When I stop weighing myself daily, I start to gain weight. It works for me.
-
Lift heavy weights and eat slightly above your maintenance level (like a hundred or so cals extra). You won't put on any real muscle mass if you are eating in a deficit.
-
Are you sure your TDEE is 1500? That's awfully low.
-
Get your pants tailored.
-
It really depends on how many calories you are eating in total. So if your 1500 plus your cheat meal will put you over your maintenance calories for the whole week then NO you should not have a cheat day. I'm not sure of your numbers and what kind of a cut you are doing but most of us here are doing 10-15% which ends up…

I wouldn't say that my tastes have changed but I can definitely only eat a few bites of some foods.

Congrats on your loss!

ITA with you! Technology is the way of the world.

I am a teacher and we have iPads in school for kids to use and they actually are a great tool. As long as they aren't sitting there using it 24/7 they have some great applications for learning.

My problem is that the fall/winter just makes me want to bake yummy treats. I never really feel llike baking in the summer. That being said, I am very determined to not go overboard this year. Then next year I will hopefully be bulking to put on muscle, just not ready for that yet since I still have a good chunk of weight…

I agree with this.

Wow, thanks for the that insight. I think that is what I needed to here and it is how I view things...that I am at the end of my dieting journey (I just needed to be reminded of that).

A) your calories are too low. 30% cut is not a part of EM2WL at all. I don't even think you can select that as an option on the scooby calculator. B) If you gained 11 lbs on 1500 calories there is something wrong with your thyroid or you are not tracking accurately. When following EM2WL you need to be diligent about…
