  • I had completely blanked on the LEAN part of the 1g/lb of body weight... That's why my protein was INSANELY high ☺️. Right now, I've got my calories a little lower, my protein at 150g-160g and carbs at 25-30%. Y'all have helped so much! ^^that is great to know!! I'm hoping to see some big results over the next month or so…
  • That definitely makes more sense now! I read that somewhere a long time ago, but I forgot all about the "lean" part of it. I'll readjust my macros tomorrow! Thank you all!
  • So I shouldn't go with high protein? Goodness, I get so confused!! I suppose this is why people pay professionals to figure it out for them lol. And yes, it is not a finance one ;) but I appreciate the feedback anyway! I have stockpiles of frozen salmon, frozen shrimp, frozen chicken breasts, etc... So I guess I don't…
  • What do you mean by "expensive," exactly? That sounds great, considering it was pretty difficult to hit that protein goal (possible, but it took me awhile to figure it out), but I want to make sure my macros aren't just falling back to "average" levels. (Not arguing in the slightest, just very curious!!)
  • I forgot to add: Female 5'8" 190lbs 34% body fat I was at a good weight just a few years ago at 152lbs. Healthy and strong.
  • And also not new to the gym or working out, just finally pushing to lose weight now lol. I know my limits, which is why I stopped when I started feeling dizzy and wasn't able to finish my sets like I should. Thanks! :)
  • No inner ear infection or anything like that! I get vertigo at times, but this was directly from pushing too hard without the proper energy. I know that I need to up my calorie intake, so I really just wanted to know which foods were best :) I think I've got my answer, though. I'm balancing my foods right, I just need to…
  • I have been slacking a little on the water lately... I drink more during my workout than before. I'll try that and carbs before to see if I see a change. Thanks!
  • I've kept my macros pretty much on point... The food I eat is pretty low calorie, so I know I just gotta eat MORE which will be tough... But is it just that simple? Eat more of what I'm eating as long as my macros are good?
  • Not at all calling you mean. I said you like to argue. I'm not here for that, nor am I here to be childish. And I have a great sense of humor, just not when people like to gang up on others. Just like you two just did lol. Good job :) I'm officially off this thread. Thanks to everyone for all of the feedback! I've got a…
  • Is this your form of helpful criticism? After looking through your forum posts, it seems as though you just want to argue with people. Kindly, please stop posting. I've got the information I wanted and needed.
  • THIS is the kind of helpful opinion I was looking for! You're right. I may end up eating back my cardio calories and letting my lifting calories take a deficit. I never knew the low carb and hormone balance bit. That's really helpful, thank you!
  • I didn't know there was a chance to find a nutritionist on here, actually! I've gotten feedback from trainers and whatnot, but I think I'll try to seek another professional opinion. Thanks!
  • :) I do not like logging. There's not going to be someone who convinces me to log by arguing with me on how long it takes. I don't like my nose stuck in my phone constantly, either. I'm ALWAYS busy. So thank you.
  • I don't remember you asking where I got the research... and I'm not taking it poorly. I've said that I really appreciate it, and I'll be making the tweaks necessary. The problem with the TDEE is that it's not constant. Some weeks, I'm able to work out every day, sometimes twice a day. Other weeks, I'm unable to exercise at…
  • Yeah, I suppose I figured out that nobody will know what's best for me.. and that's why I said I'm not asking for opinions anymore :) I don't have time for MFP logging all the time. And you're right, 1200 isn't enough for my body to function long term... which is probably why I'm not doing it long term. I'm not on here to…
  • I just got off of the depo shot about a year ago, which actually made me lose about 20-25lbs, rather than gain. Consequently, I gained the weight back. Then, I moved 900 miles away and lived with my family where we ate out and drank a lot. So I gained an extra amount of weight on top of that. Basically, my hormones are…
  • Just through what I've read, it's not a terrible plan to start. What I mean by "kick-start" is that I'll be able to lose water weight and a bit of fat right from the git-go. That's motivation for me. I KNOW I won't be able to do 1200 forever... which is why I never planned to do that. 3-4.5 weeks tops. And let's not start…
  • I do get the appropriate amount of fats, protein and macros, PROMISE!! :) Again, I'm not asking if it's right for you... which I suppose nobody would know if it is right for me or not, except for maybe doctors...
  • That's the thing I think everyone is missing... I LOVE my lean proteins, veggies and fruits. That is what I enjoy now. I'm not asking if this plan will work for any of you lol But in all seriousness, I appreciate your opinions! I'm also not starting from scratch here. I do have activity in my life.. and I do eat healthy…
  • I'll be eating at TDEE for the rest of my life, as I was quoting the gentleman above you who had the question. And it does matter if I eat 1200 of lots of food.... they are nutrient-packed foods. I'm not malnutritioned by any means in eating 1200 calories. Sure, it's DEFINITELY not something that I can do long term. I may…
  • 1800-1900 calories is about what I eat now. That's not a place where I feel healthy and energized (no matter what foods I eat, clean or not). I think you have a good plan, I just don't think it's a good plan for where I want to be when I want to be there. My plan is a little fast-paced, but not crazy at all. In the same…
  • On this, I do eat a balanced diet right now. I want a significant change in the first month. It's not complicated to me. I have plenty of fuel for my workouts, actually! I get every bit of nutrition that I need in the 1200 calories. I'm not hungry or deprived at all. I appreciate the feedback, though! It's always nice to…
  • Lol @ the beard comment! No, I'm just on my phone at lunch. I'll respond more appropriately when I get back to my desk.
  • I will be eating at TDEE mainly. This is my weight loss plan. After this, I'll be able to just do maintenance.
  • I know that my body will plateau after a certain amount of time if I eat too few calories. I'll need the fuel for my workouts so that I'll continue to burn fat. I just know that I want a significant drop right away (which is mainly water weight anyway). I figure I'll be able to lose 10-15 in the first month. I know that…
  • I sent you an email! Like I said, tell me on here if I haven't responded to your emails! I'm not receiving any if you email me first :(
  • Okay, I think I have sent everyone messages. If not, let me know on this thread! I'm not receiving messages from some people :(
