  • bump. love the recipe ideas :flowerforyou: I substitute spaghetti squash for pasta whenever I can - traditional spaghetti type meals or alfredo. Also the soups mentioned above - really filling, easy to make and always lots of leftovers.
  • Me : ) I actually stopped most of the products last year while I was pregnant and haven't picked it back up (other than the tea) while I've been breastfeeding. I am a distributor but not looking to sell the product. I think it worked for me, not because I relied on meal replacements to lose weight but I tried the shakes,…
  • sounds yummy!
  • This infuriates me! How dare they take lunch from a child and just throw it away. I don't care how much the parents may owe, humiliating a child in a crowded lunch room is no way to handle the situation. The administrators have no concept of the damage they have done to those kids and they have no idea what could be going…
  • I have a 4 month old son (and a 19 year old daughter! LOL) and I'm also breastfeeding. I'd lost 130 pounds in 2012, prior to finding out I was pregnant last December. I gained 22 pounds during my pregnancy but have lost that and a little more since then. I've definitely hit a rough patch here lately with the holidays and…

  • Me too Will, me too. Welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me if you'd like. Good luck on your journey - admitting the problem is half the battle!
  • bump - thanks so much for sharing!
  • :flowerforyou: Hi ladies. Any of you can add me if you'd like. Glad to know I'm not alone in trying to figure out a healthy balance with my calories. I started losing in January of 2012 then found out in December that I was pregnant. My doctor was adamant that I shouldn't worry about my weight until after I had the baby…
  • I replied to a similar topic earlier with my story. I welcome anyone that wants to add me and venture on this journey together  I started losing in Jan 2012 then found out I was pregnant in December. My doctor was adamant that I shouldn't worry about my weight until after I had the baby (he's 9 weeks old). Now…
  • Any of you can add me if you'd like. I started losing for a year then found out I was pregnant. My doctor was adamant that I shouldn't worry about weight until after I had the baby (he's 9 weeks old). Now that I've had him, I've lost the 22 pounds I gained plus another 9! I just started back to work this week and this is…
  • I use Herbalife. In 2012 I lost 135 pounds using the products. I do sell them but I'm not on here for profit. I log faithfully everyday and drank two shakes a day until I got pregnant and just can't stomach them right now. Using the shakes helped me but I didn't use them as a crutch or a fix. It jumpstarted my weight loss…
  • I marinate them in italian dressing (dry) and balsamic vinegar and then bake them. They're yummy by themselves but also make great lettuce wraps when paired with asian veggies or slaw.
  • I never thought I'd be someone who'd actually enjoy going to the gym - it was pure torture when I started. Now I do look forward to it. It's become my "me" time. I'm primarily doing zumba right now as opposed to the weights, elliptical, treadmill, etc. There is something rewarding about the sweaty grossness at the end of a…
  • You can add me  I've been on Herbalife for the last year and I've really done well. I love the products. Yes, I am a distributor but I'm not on MFP to recruit or sell anything. I'm just here to keep myself accountable and the scale moving in the right direction!
  • I appreciate all of the input! You guys are the best. I'm going to try talking to my doctor again. So far he's been pretty unconcerned but I don't want to get off the right track so I'm making a bigger deal about it than he is. He has just said make smarter choices, avoid alot of fast food and eat lots of fruit & veggies.…
  • You look great! I am so proud of you for the dedication you've put in to reaching this point in your journey. You are definitely an inspiration to myself and others!
  • :flowerforyou: Welcome. I started on Herbalife 1/2/12 and at my one year had lost 135 pounds. I found out I was pregnant though and just can't stand to drink my shakes right now - it sucks because I love them!. I keep trying through. You're welcome to add me if you'd like.
  • I'd like some input on my weight gain thus far - although early. My history, I started 1/2/12 at 388. By 1/2/13 I was down 135 to 253. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and have gained maybe 3 pounds so far. I did up my calories to 1800/day because I felt like I was having trouble getting all of my nutrients in at 1450/day and I still…
  • I've been on MFP for over a year and I still use the app on my phone in addition to the website numerous times a day. It can be something as simple as logging each cup of water, browsing the message boards or changing my entire dinner plan. I've worked MFP into part of my daily schedule and that's what has worked for me.…
  • I cut out soda altogether. I used to be a diet pop junkie haven't had one since January 2nd. I noticed that I felt alot better after getting that mess out of my system. There was no nutritional value at all and no benefit. Now it's water most of the time for me and it's working!
  • gonna have to try these for sure! Thank you!
  • agreed - would love any recipe ebooks - especially those that are "real life" recipes and not something only Martha Stewart can make! :flowerforyou:
  • I stay motivated by the results that I see not only on the scale but in the mirror. No lifestyle change is easy - it's hard work and a daily challenge. We all face old habits (mine is stress eating) and challenging issues everyday. We just have to make smarter choices. Are you going to have "bad" days? yep, absolutely. But…
  • I make Herbalife shakes at home but the "recipe" could be applied to any other protein or similar shakes. I add one folgers instant coffee single serve tube to the blender with 1 tbsp sugar free white chocolate pudding mix and 1 tbsp peanut butter. So delicious! Sometimes I add a shot of caramel coffeee syrup or a banana.
  • I am a huge fan of pork steaks. I put them in marinade (I like Daddy Hinkles original flavor marinade) and then grill them. I think they're much better tasting than beef steaks. They are fatty but you can trim them up and a little goes a long way. These have to be one of my all time favorite cuts of meat. : ) good luck!
  • Yum - will have to try this for sure!!
  • looks delicious!
