I think you'd like to infer something I never said which isn't unusual for the internet and public forums. I think, so clarity for you in this case, I said if people would exercise it would improve their outcome. Avoiding it is their choice. Knowing a part of an answer to someone's situation and they avoid it is sort of…

Wait. SO excess weight and inactivity.......2 things. If you improve those 2 things you'd improve your condition. Seems so straightforward and yet, for some, they'll keep up with excuses to avoid them. Steroid use too?!? Wow. I am not surprised you found this information. I wish for people with these conditions they'd…

Nah. It's Gale.

I'm not sure. Many people get 25% of their water needs from their diet. Things like vegetables and fruit are among the items to reach the 25%. Did you have some fruit and vegetables today?

Well, if cholesterol is a big scam then fine with me. I hope for folks who eat high fat they can find a cardiologist who agrees with them post cardiac event. If you think diabetes isn't headed in the same direction you'd be naive.

It is obviously a national problem. What can we possibly do to improve the numbers? Maybe move a number down and make the issue more acute? A little history? What was the range Ancil Keys gave to cholesterol as 'high'? I'll help you out a little. It was a range of 120. At the low end for Keys he thought 2XX was on the low…

Because they do not eat it?

Okay, so 50% comes from 38% being undiagnosed. Thankfully, the medical profession is aware of these staggering numbers as well as the government(sarcasm). If I remember correctly the total number was around 11%.

For sharts and googles I had yams for breakfast this AM. I found, and my math could be off, the grams to calories worked out pretty well. And yes, they were dirty yams, so I cleaned them and then ran a 5k. Happy Thanksgiving people! I also added sugar(brown) and butter. So a little evil with dirty. . . .muah ha hahahaha.

You want to search for Primal Blueprint or Mark's Daily Apple for ideas. You may want to look in to Moosewood Restaurant for vegetable/meal/soup ideas. They also have a few cookbooks. Simple recipes and easy to implement.

Not being able to do much about 'when hormones go crazy'. Well, if a doctor ever said this to me I'd find a different doctor. Luckily the doctors I know and speak to understand turning 50 and 'not being able to do anything about hormones going crazy' probably do not go well together. I turn 50 next year so I'll start…

A well written thread with intelligent dialogue. Who knew (sarcasm) foods like vegetables and fruit provide up to 25% of your daily water need? Imagine having a diet where you aren't eating those things AND being unable to understand where dehydrations comes from. The logic fail just hurts.

So...if a resting HR of 55 is used by your example....the individual burns calories at a HR of 33?!? My math may be bad, but I'm sure as long as there is a HR you burn calories. If you use your device for anything other then steady state cardio as Pika referenced you'll get an exaggerated rate(calories burned). In terms of…

crud....

Okay, well it was one meal. It isn't like you have to do this often. I'm sure your nutritional needs aren't suffering too much. Good luck OP.
-
What does your diet allow you to eat and what is she offering which does not conform?
-
I'm not quite sure road apples have the nutritional value you seek. In terms of labeling foods a good/bad/evil it may help to focus on incorporating a snack either daily or with frequency.

I. . . . .I forgot. . . lost my way. . . . . .now I start again another day. See?!? Poetry.
