What do you weigh?

So, they don't add to due to rounding in the entries. Just go week to week and average it out and keep logging. You can't be exact on every entry. Allow an estimate to guide you not drive you crazy. Be OCD about your sock drawer which is something you can drive yourself coo coo over.

What formula did you use for your BMR number? Harris-Bene or one which uses BF(body fat) %?

I kale failed. Spinach on Tombstone today...with EVOO. Evil stuff.

I think it is part and parcel of the diet itself. Muscle retention and protein being increased seems to make sense. Controlling and even decreasing protein seems to lead to greater body fat over the coure of dieting. It seems counterintuitive to have a diet where you encouraging less muscle retention for health purposes.
-
So why are you limiting your protein if this is true? My understanding was some proteins create a greater response for insulin then some carbs. Is there list, I'm not sure. Your quote above was attached to ndj's quote stating carbs and proteins get the same response in insulin. So, he stated no one is running around saying…

Thi seems contradictory to some of the information provided by knowledgable people in the field. Is there a list to reference for insulin uptake for food which is being used to distinguish the different food types and the insulin response? My understanding was insulin is greater for certain proteins then say a piece of…

Oops. So, caging lately?

Dat gum it you're right. Okay so a question......wait.
-
So your context is? I'm asking if you understand what it takes to actually burn muscle? Have few calories would you need to consume without resistance training to bun muscle? Again, I was asking what context your were referencing. If I run, bike, lift, swim, and eat about 2800 calories I can slowly lose weight. Most of it…

Burning muscle? Um, what?!? Can you provide some context for this?

I read about a study suggesting fat addiction. Guess what? Your body needs both. Good luck avoiding them. And, being here for 3 plus years I think every diet has been reviewed by many. From 80-10-10 to 5-20-75 and everything in between. I'm not going to argue about butter or sugar. I eat both. My health is fine.

It is making a slow entertaining...sort of. Reminds me of the Kardashians arguing over who can bare the most skin and keep people coming to them.
-
Ah, disqus. Now it makes sense. Interesting conversations people have on there.

I support you.

I argued with the produce manager last year to stop cutting them off. Two for one foods are great! Saute them, seer them, add them with bok choy and stir fry, eat them in salads. Make a burrito with them(just cut some of the main shoot back); use them in ways you'd use lettuce or cabbage. Inexpensive, fiber, phytos, micro…

We have a break til Spring but last year they unloaded squash for 2 weeks. I was actually tired of roasting it for soups. And, I don't like squashing greens to get them to fit in the fridge. Sounds like you'll be having some for the next few days.

I wouldn't recommend climbing in the slow cooker to calculate calories.
-
What do you do for cardio? Run, cycle, swim? Distance and time would help. Second, ask yourself this question when I exercise 4-5 times a week I am eating X calories to maintain my weight. Is it feasible to eat 1600 calories and continue to A. Feel decent after a workout and B. Maintain as much muscle as possible. If I'm…

I know what it is called; the mistake by some is they aren't understanding the insulin to whey and/or MCT connection and continually misdiagnosis a condition like IR. Ask someone which brings a greater response to insulin: white bread or whey. Most people get it wrong. *edit...why is MFP quadruple posting?!? Oh, I can fix…

Just a quick question for the cyclers....any tool to gauge a burn on a stationery which gives me distance and watts. I futz(extremely technical term with one minute higher resistance, one minute lower, a couple of sets, then grdual increases on 30 off 30, more sets, and then cool down...saddle time varies, but nowhere near…

Or a Snickers. Or some Black and Green or Blue and Orange chocolate...cannot remember the company

What is it with these organic farm box people?!? Yeah, we get it from our CSA along with bok choy and an assortment of greens.

True. Not sure anyone is speaking or chanting around the grass fed/non-grass fed cattle I consume.
