  • I think Coke Zero tastes waaaaay better than diet coke, so chalk me up for that team.
  • I have previously tried to diet by going all or nothing. I have a serious sweet tooth and can easily demolish a block of chocolate/200g bag of sweets and unnumbered Dr Peppers in a mindless haze of nibbling. Since I started MFP I've decided I am never going to be able to sustain anything I do if I don't let myself have…
  • As we like to say in New Zealand...yeah nah ;)
  • I'm okay now :) was just a bit nerve wracking at the time. I went out and did some fitness stuff - that helped.
  • I log religiously in terms of praying for the scale to shift, but I break the sabbath by logging on Saturdays so I guess not. More seriously I log pretty much everything, if it has a barcode I scan it, if it doesn't and I can't weigh it I estimate very high, if I can weigh it then I do. So far so good.
  • Usually every day. Tomorrow and for the next few days I won't because I have calculated in a pizza day treat and that will take a while to shift off so I don't want to distress myself unnecessarily :)
  • I work as an RN on 11pm-7am shifts. What works for me is to TRY and eat about halfway through the night, something like soup and bread (500cals ish) and then have breakfast (anything between 150-400 cals) about 8am before I go to sleep. Then I wake up and have dinner at the normal time about 6-7pm and go to work again. If…
  • Ash you're inspiring me. I am a very similar height/weight to you and it's great to have a visual reference of where I can be if I stick to this. Good job and keep it up
  • Yup agree with the general consensus - let your actions and life speak for themselves. However well intentioned you may be if you are interpreted as being as nagging or shaming you might end up having exactly the opposite effect. Besides, it's not as if people don't know what healthy and unhealthy are - I know I have a…
  • They're not staffed after 7pm so I don't think ringing ahead is an option here but a good suggestion for anyone who can do so to take up - thanks :) I don't own a car so biking is my only way of getting around. I guess one option is I go before work which starts at 11pm so not quite so late - if I don't show up at work…
  • You'll be fine :) I've been biking for years I just eat too much hence being on here :) 6.6 miles is pretty much nothing on a bike. I did 6 miles each way when I first started commuting (from 0 exercise) and I managed fine. Just give yourself lots of time until you see how hard you can go. Good luck.
  • Hi Primal :) I found a shop called Piko Wholefoods in Chch, I'll admit I haven't done a lot more than read the labels to check the ingredients and trusted them when they've said organic on the label but for now that will do me.
  • Woop, added you :)
  • We will! I just want to be able to wear straight cut jeans :)
