Can we get some more info? What's scary to you? Do you have a history of an eating disorder? How much are you eating now? What are you eating in a day now (what kinds of foods as opposed to how many calories)?

Bottom row, middle is my favorite.

I don't like pictures of myself, really. I like them better *now* than I did 6 months ago, but I have a bazillion cute pictures of my dog and only 1 or 2 of myself. The dog wins.

I used to be all about the tart/sour apples - Granny Smiths with peanut butter. Lately though I've been going nuts over Red Delicious - but like all apples, they HAVE to be perfect. No bruises, no squishyness, absolutely crunchy.

I've gone by what MFP says I burn since I joined in March, and it's worked for me. It might not be the most accurate, but it's working. I'd be afraid of switching to a HRM at this point. :) If there are conflicting calorie numbes on foods in the MFP database (maybe I should say "when"), I tend to choose a higher one to be…

It definitely worked for me. I was stressing less about food choices once I increased my calories too, so maybe the combination of higher calories/less stress was what did it.

For me personally: I wouldn't push it too much. Maybe some gentle stretching, like yoga, but I wouldn't go to town.

A few thoughts: 1. Breathe. 2. The last 10 pounds are killer. Relax a bit; this could take a while, and that's okay. 3. I gained a bit of weight when I started working out, but I lost inches. Yep, inches. Plural. Then I started losing weight again. 4. Breathe. (This is kind of important. Stress isn't conducive to weight…

I wear shoes unless I'm doing yoga. Shoes seem to provide me with better ankle support, and it's definitely easier on my toes when I'm doing pushups or anything else in plank position.

SUCH a good feeling! Congrats! :flowerforyou:

My dog Earl is a greyhound. Greyhounds are known for two things, mainly: running fast, and GAS. (You'd think the two would be related. They're not. They're SO not.) Earl can clear a room. Earl is also a bed hog. Wish we'd known that before we thought it would be "awwwww, so cute!" to let an 80 pound dog sleep with us in…

Heh - every time I see a thread like this it makes me a little wary of getting a HRM! I mean, I'm curious, but I've lost my weight using MFP's estimates of calorie burns, my elliptical's estimate, AND I've eaten back my calories. Weirdness...

You. Look. INCREDIBLE, OP. Seriously. Congrats on all your hard work! The first workout can be a killer, but it sure gets addicting...

There are days when my scale and I consider terminating our relationship. (Meaning I consider taking a blunt object to it.) However, I still weigh myself every day. Why? Because I refuse to let my mood and my self image be dictated by that number. This is for life. It's not about getting down to a certain weight and then…

Corn salsa! 1 can of corn, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 can black beans. Lime juice, lemon juice (to taste), black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Easy Peasy and YUMMY. Serve w/ Tostitos Scoops...or just a big ol' spoon. :glasses: (You could use fresh instead of canned stuff, I'm sure - but it's more labor intensive and I am SO…

I wonder if I could use skim milk instead of almond milk? If so then I think I already have all the ingredients! :)

What is it about this particular approach that makes it attractive to you? For me (and I'm not considering it - don't know anything about it) the attraction would be not having to cook, but from what I hear baby food gets really expensive...Plus I think the lack of texture in my food would be a turn off after a while.

Look at that smile on your face!  :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

*gently* I'm assuming you know that starving yourself / hiding in your room isn't fixing the situation. Therapy hasn't helped your situation with your mom; I'm wondering if you'd consider it for your own health issues? It's hard, so very hard, to take really good care of yourself under stressful conditions, but now's the…

I have a scar on my forehead. When I was about 5 I ran into a tree headfirst on a sled. 17 stitches. It served me well a few years ago when I was working at the bookstore, though - I had my hair pulled back one night, I was working in the kids section, and a little boy's eyes got really wide. "Wow! You've got a scar like…

 Now I want chocolate...

I'm gonna drink tonight...and tomorrow night...and eat healthy the majority of the time otherwise. I like beer; there are a lot of bevvies that are lower cal that I don't like as much.

My entire GI system just whimpered... but whatever works for you. :) Give me a bag of peanut M&M's that size, now... ETA: I like cheese, just not in mass quantities like that. Never tried ketchup on it. Hmmm...

I am going to have nightmares about those clowns...and I'm not even afraid of clowns! :noway:

My mom calls me Snooks. My dad calls me Iggywits, or Iggy. I'm 37. DH thinks those are really funny... he calls me Angel, or sh*thead, or just J. The sh*thead thing isn't as bad as it sounds. One night I got home after he did, and he was already in bed. He was sprawled out, taking up the WHOLE FREAKIN' BED, so I moved his…

To be in a musical in a starring role, NOT a chorus role. A Scottish accent!

I have never taken my coffee's temperature, but when I get my morning 16 oz cup at the gas station, I have to microwave it when I get to work. Hot drinks/food should be HOT. Not take-the-skin-off-my-face hot, but hotter than lukewarm hot. My DH does not understand this; therefore we have to portion out leftovers onto…

Well done! :) :) :)
