  • Didn't realize there was a seperate group post area. Well, as I said in the other thread, I am doing my push-ups with my feet on my couch. I just did my set of four for today. Tomorrow will bring one more. These are tough buy it will always only one more than what I did the day before.
  • I did my 3 decline push-ups yesterday after my workout. They are getting harder but I know I can do one more. Don't think about how many you have to do, just remember that it is only one more than you did yesterday. Anyone can do one more, right!

  • Thanks. I am tiptoeing around this very carefully. I don't try to ruin every visit with her. I think I would make more progress if I didn't have here full time caregiver, my ex, reinforcing the bad habits and convincing her that I am just being mean.
  • Thank you for pointing this out. Sorry, I was kind of rambling there. We do other stuff now, I didn't just give up. A couple months ago we spent the whole day at the river collecting "prety rocks" I ran them thru my rock tumbler and will be giving them to her when I see her next week.

  • I have a honeycrisp apple 30 min before my workout. Then a cup of fat free cottage cheese when I get home, about 20 min after. The fat free cottage cheese is all carbs and protein. I used to do the protein shake thing before and after lifting and all it did was use up calories that I would rather have for dinner.

  • I have read that Spinach must be cooked in order to get the iron from it. When it is raw, there is another chemical in there that binds the iron and you don't get any of it. I read this years ago and can not remember the website.
