  • chellaJKR - I was off 2 days sick last week, did shred 1 day, then off 3 more days because we were out of town - and I just picked up where I left off yesterday! There was NO WAY I was starting over!
  • The dreaded plateau continues.....da, da, dah.........I took a couple of days off from the 30 Day Shred last weekend.....and I've upped my calories too. I started back on the shred yesterday and am going to try to work in additional exercise of some sort at least 3 days this week too. I will NOT give up! So........how are…
  • gd - thanks for the explanation. And now I can picture myself losing my balance and falling trying to do the jumping lunges. Okay, maybe not.....but it did remind me that today I can say I suddenly realized that my balance has really improved....which means the core is getting stronger! YAY!! I'm referring to the thingy…
  • Day 19 done. One more day of Level 2 and I graduate to Level 3! keggan & gd - jumping lunges? Can't wait to see what THOSE are! Hang in there fellow shredders!
  • Back in the saddel - day 18 is finally done, after 5 days off! I felt really good....but only burned 263 cals....so to me that's an indicator that I'm getting ready to move to Level 3! gd - wow, you are doing amazing! Can't wait to see the pics!
  • toadie - how exciting to be looking foward to a nice long vacation! The next couple of day will no doubt be very hectic! Good luck! Maybe you can figure out a way to "power pack"! Let's keep it going turtles....focus on healthy eating, drinking H2O and getting that exercise in.
  • whimsy - that sounds like so MUCH FUN! j - the heat is a killer! I hope you get your air soon! Well, all - I had a great weekend. It was far from my "healthiest" weekend.....but I feel rejuvenated....I really think I needed to give my body a break from the hard workout. I am mentally and physically ready to hit it hard…
  • I was a real slacker this weekend....exercise-wise.....but I think I really needed the break. And I had an awesome time spoiling the grandchildren! The baby is still waking every couple of hours at night, so I stayed up late with him last night and was on baby duty during the day so his mommy could catch some zzzz's. I was…
  • Bump to try later!
  • Bump, so I can point to this thread in future!
  • 1000 calories is not enough fuel for your body. Try upping your cals (I know it sounds counter-intuitive). Here's a good thread for you to read through if you haven't done so already: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/196502-for-the-people-who-work-out-like-crazy-and-are-not-losing
  • What's the plan for the weekend fellow turtles? We leaving town tonight to visit kids & grandkids. So my exercise will probably consist of pulling our grandaughter around in a wagon and chasing her around the playground! I can't think of a more fun way to burn cals! My husband and I will probably take over the cooking…
  • No shred for me today guys. Woke up feeling rather quesy again....remanents of the flu bug I guess....so I decided to just lay low today. I will probably take a little walk over lunch today though. We are leaving tonight to go see my step-son, wife and 2 grandkids.....so I won't be shredding tomorrow either. I'll be…
  • Sounds interesting....I think I need to check it out!
  • Back it today after 2 days of not feeling well. Day 17 is now DONE! It felt so much harder today - I suppose due to being sick for 2 day! But WOW....my husband was laughing at me because I was yelling at Jillian today! Oh - and probably making all sorts of weird noises too just trying to survive!
  • Toadie - that is AWESOME! And you are amazing my friend!
  • Dip those veggies in some hummus or add some avacado to your salad! Other ideas - almonds, peanut butter, protein smoothie, string cheese.
  • I hear you....and I concur! I hadn't had a soda in many months....until yesterday when the flu bug struck. So I had a 7-up to settle my stomach! I honestly don't miss it at all.
  • I rarely eat out....and now it gives me yet another reason to be happy about that!
  • Maybe posting this topic was your first step to getting "UNSTUCK". How about doing something FUN that just happens to also burn calories.....like dancing around the house......or going swimming.....or learn how to belly dance by taking a class or buying a DVD! Maybe finding a NEW way to enjoy the journey will get…
  • whimsy - I swear the first place I could tell I lost weight was my fingers....suddenly (it seemed at the time) my rings started sliding around! Being able to wear your wedding ring is a GREAT NSV!
  • yanicka - you are SO CLOSE to your goal! Congrats on your progres! Even if it is slow it proves to me that we WILL still get there! corierose - welcome to MFP! This site is wonderful a place to find support on your journey!
  • Okay fellow turtles - here's a thread that I think will be of interest to all of you. FYI - yesterday, I decded to change my weight-loss goal to 1/2 lb per week (it had been 1 lb per week). I decided to do this because I've been on this plateau for 5 weeks now and thought if I upped my calories and actually DID lose 1/2…
  • purplecait - that is a GREAT NSV! I've been there myself....and after I get through the 30DS I'm going to get back to jogging myself! And a half mile is nothing to sneeze at. Won't be long and you'll be at a mile.....sometimes I think it's almost as much mental as physical to go from a 1/2 mile to a mile! patsyacs &…
  • Well....I'm "phoning it in" today too....still have the flu. That is encouraging to hear about Level 3! Toadie - WTG! I was ready to go get my cans of soup for the v-raises. I'm only using 3 lb weights and the 2nd round just is a killer for me! Keep shredding everyoneQ
  • Definitely an awesome NSV! Congrats!!
  • I hope to feel better in the morning so I can get back to the shred tomorrow! It seemed really weird to NOT hear Jillian telling me that I can't "phone it in" first thing this morning! Keep it going everyone!
  • That's awesome j_c! And it's another great way to measure success. Who wants less body fat? I DO, I DO!
  • Wow....going from a size 16 to a 10 is amazing! I started at a tight 16 and am now in 14's....and some of them are quite loose. Nice to find the biceps too huh?
  • You know I'm in mo....finished day 16 of 30DS yesterday. I've gone straight through with only 1 day off until today. Got a flu bug today, so I'll be taking today off too.
