For Romantic Comedies (I guess that rules out Hellraiser): The Princess Bride Groundhog Day Desk Set (old Tracy/Hepburn) Pride & Prejudice (version w. Colin Firth)

I am also new to Greek yogurt. I love Stonyfield Farms organic plain yogurt, but when I tried Cabot Greek I thought it tasted like mayonnaise. HOWEVER, I just tried it this morning with honey and cinnamon and it was quite good. I also put it into a bland pasta dish I made yesterday and it made it into a decent cold pasta…

I LOVE the Stonyfield Farms Plain Organic yogurt (I stir in pineapple or blueberries), but I just tried Cabot Greek Style and...ugh, it smells like mayonnaise. I'm thinking maybe I can make some kind of dip out of it, but I don't think I can eat it for breakfast. Maybe I should try the Fage or Chobani.

I love these! I'm putting the Winnie the Pooh one in my kids' rooms.

I'm interested in hearing replies to this question. I'm thinking of gradually increasing my daily calories until I hit the maintenance level rather than just suddenly switching. I want to do strength training so I made need more protein...

*bump* What an interesting thread. Now I want to know how many copies of the potato-eating gene I have. (from the link way back on page 1)

That is wonderful! Great job!

*bump* I want to eat cleaner too...

Mine's open to all, and feel free to friend. I have some 1200 days, some 1400 days when I exercise (usually M-W-F), and then there was that 2200 Saturday..:embarassed: ..I would like to eat more home cooked and less processed food, but I'm very happy with my cheese & chocolate.

My food diary is open for whoever wants to peek. I'm not really proud of all my food choices but am hoping to clean it up gradually. I like to have an occasional beer (especially if there's a new episode of Supernatural). Today I had steak & mashed potatoes, some chocolate, whole milk & still kept it at 1205 cals. I"m…

Thank you, good luck, and many happy returns!

Hmmm, I'm starting to think you all are onto something here. I've got a lot of reading to do.

I switched back to whole milk when I was trying to conceive, stayed on it while nursing and will probably never go back. It seemed a bit too rich at first but I got used to it. I keep coming back to the idea that the more processed something is, the worse it is. Sure, it's more calories than skim, but it's more filling in…

(bump to follow) I've left my ratios set to the default because I don't know what I'm doing yet. Mostly I'm following calories, and if I have some left over after dinner I may try pick a snack based on whether I'm under on carbs or protein or fat, or just follow my cravings if I think I "need" something in particular.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Especially if I could have Giles for a trainer. Sarah Connor in Terminator. Vasquez in Aliens.

Congratulations on changing your eating habits and thinking about this before getting pregnant! Sorry I can't answer the question about how many calories to eat while pregnant/trying, but maybe someone else can. I will just remind you/others that NOW is the time to start taking a prenatal vitamin if you aren't already. The…

That looks so good. I can't wait to try it!

I don't know if it's the reduced calories for me or increased exercise, but I am definitely needing less sleep lately. I got up a little early this morning to exercise and I didn't even mind. I am not at all a morning person but I feel more clear-headed recently. i thought I was just starting to recover from "baby-brain"…

Fantastic job!

I just discovered plain yogurt but haven't tried Greek yet. This morning I stirred some Guava juice into my yogurt and it was awesome! I also like yogurt with crushed pineapple. I'll never go back to pre-sweetened (or fake-sweetened) yogurt.

Good work! It's worth it.

I may not be goofy but my icon is. Hahha, now I'm getting ads for Disney World on the sidebar....anyone can add me it they want.

Cheese! No, chocolate! No, cheese, definitely cheese. Or chocolate.

I like McD's Egg McMuffin (300), or for lunch their regular hamburger (250) and Fruit & Yogurt Parfait (160). For a treat, the Strawberry Sundae is 280, vs. large triple thick vanilla milkshake at over 1000. Not worth it. (edit) Oh, forgot the half-sized salads at Wendy's, baked potato, chili, etc.

Don't worry, one bad day is not going to derail you. You are right to blow off some steam here and focus on getting back on track tomorrow. Re: "What was I thinking?" Probably not so much thinking as feeling incredibly stressed and doing something to try to make yourself feel better. If you don't have horrible days very…
