  • wow, that's a really diverse line up-- and it sounds fun as well as challenging. Thanks for posting this! I've been doing fitnessblender.com workouts in the park this week (on my phone), now that it's nice out. Today I did a jump rope + body weight exercise circuit video and a cardio + abs video (56 minutes total) Tomorrow…
  • Yes, DucklingtoSwan, great vow for the day! Just for today: steady, steady, steady. Keep taking deep breaths!
  • Just for today: patterns won't rule me; they will be interesting to examine from a distance.

  • Just for today: steady on! I will not let all the good choices I made this week suddenly trigger self-sabotage.
  • Count me in, too, please!
  • Just for today: I'm going to do the workout in the evening even though I put it off in the morning. And I did! Hurray! Yes, cpanus, I had to resist hitting reply in irritation yesterday. Rise above! Rise above!
  • Just for today: I will get engrossed in my (creative) work and save time for a workout.
  • Just for today: No all or nothing thinking! Running out of time for a workout does not mean I then go treat-happy!
  • Indeed, yesterday was... well, let's just say I did not complete my food log and I was not under my calorie goal. But today: today I got the bike out and took my boy for a nice long ride along the river. Just for today: I will enjoy the wind in my face and forget about yesterday. Yesterday is not a hole I have to climb out…
  • I love your enthusiasm for your "Reset"! It's contagious! The same will happen to me, except more quickly: if I see the least progress, I'll get complacent or downright self-sabotaging pretty quickly. I've got to find a way to short-circuit that mechanism and let myself settle into strong, positive behavior for the long…
  • Feel free to add me, as well. I've been wavering _a lot_ in my motivation and commitment lately. Time to get serious! I have about 10-15 lbs to lose. My short term goal is just to log as honestly as possible and do some form of exercise each day for a week. And stay calm in the face of frustration.
  • Just for today: A bad night's sleep will not greenlight behavior I'll regret.
  • You can add me as well. I started at the end of January and was very motivated at first, but have lately been slipping into bad former habits. I need to get re-motivated! Good luck!
  • How did you do yesterday? I swerved yesterday and didn't work out, but today got in a really good workout with two fitnessblender.com workouts. Good luck! Commit!
  • Just for today, I won't go into "Give up" mode at the least roadblock.
  • Just for today I will breathe through frustration.
  • Good luck starting the new program! I'll be taking two fitnessblender.com workouts to the park tomorrow. I need a little motivation, as well, since I've been hesitating to follow through on healthy plans for the last few weeks. Got in a great workout today, though, and I'll do it tomorrow, as well! Focus on one day, one…
  • Just for today: I will make choices that help me feel strong.

  • Just for today: I will forgive myself for yesterday and I will not let the past tell me who I am today.
  • Movement also can help a great deal. I've struggled with depression, as well, and the thing that consistently changes my outlook is getting my body moving. Anything that feels good. I wish you well; and please do talk to your parents at the very least!
  • For the nights when the new plan of simply not snacking doesn't work: For relatively low calorie evening snacks, I eat a bowl of frozen blueberries if I'm craving something sweet, or a package of crispy seaweed (seasnax-- insanely low calorie) if craving something salty. It's hard to each too much of either.
  • Sorry about your job loss! You might want to check out fitnessblender.com, as well. They have many free low impact cardio (and "quiet cardio") workout videos that might be easy on your knee. That would provide a lot of variety. I love their workouts!
  • I understand that need for a "cue" that turns everything around. Maybe for you it has to do with that concept of "sneaking"; can you ask yourself why you need to sneak, who you're sneaking from? Can you work on eliminating the need for that feeling in your life? Ultimately, the calorie diary here is supposed to be for…
  • I've been using high intensity interval training (hiit) on fitnessblender.com for about a month and loving it. Everything is more toned and my stamina and lung capacity feel like they've risen a lot. But I do longer routines than what your trainer suggested, so I'm not sure if it would be the same...
  • Thank you so much for posting this. The feelings you describe of eating to not be present in your life for that amount of time, to not feel what's in front of you sound so familiar. I joined MFP last month because my mom died in November and she was everything to me, and I've have been numbly eating every since. I was…
  • Since you said you just started working out again, I'd say that it's a temporary slow down due to muscle recovery. Your muscles are likely storing more water and/or becoming denser. I've seen many MFP commenters say the same, and it happened to me when I first started about a month ago: weight _gain_ the first week of…
