i saw a package of pitas that had 'PORTABLE!' written as a grand selling point. yes, but my regular sandwich isn't that hard to take around, either.
-
just saw you're into horses! so you should definitely look into mackinac island! :)
-
mackinac island! it's an island in michigan, small enough that no cars are allowed. you get around by horse (with a drawn wagon or just saddle-back) or by bike. it's got so much charm. i have also been to door county, but this location is more unique.

I was also that overweight kid. But my mother DID have pretty much only 'healthy' foods in the house, and she DID tell me off when she saw me overeating (as I did all the time). NEITHER of these things helped. I ate the 'healthy' food, I just ate way too much of it. And all her nagging just made me resent her and hate…

sorry but this diet advice isn't really based on science. a) yes, it's good to eat back exercise calories but it's because you need to properly fuel your body. just be careful because MFP tends to overestimate calories burned! many people here only eat back about 50% of the calories estimated by MFP b) the variation in…

please please just take it easy! i only lost all the weight by the time i was like 7 months pp! i tried and failed so many times because i started too early and my body just wasn't ready. i know it's hard to wait but take it really slow- your body has been through enough for now. don't worry- it WILL come off. you won't be…

yeah, i lost 8 pounds in the first 2 weeks and i was also worried. now i'm losing about .5 pounds a week....

they sell plastic sandwich bags that are decorated with "mold" so it looks like your sandwich has gone moldy... ultimate insurance.
-
bumping for that list!
-
thanks for all the advice, really appreciated.
-
lol. i'm completely new to this! i don't even know what deadlifting or benchpressing is. i think i'll just stick to a book or something...
-
thanks for the advice everyone! i was looking for a specific routine as many of your suggested, so thanks! @trjjoy what am i supposed to do- start picking up my dining room table? the couch?
-
i would like to try :)
-

you should pick a different pet peeve- "learnt" is the UK spelling. "loosing weight," however, is a different story...

i have no advice. but your english is perfect. i didn't realize you may not be a native speaker until you wrote that.
-
Um, k. What? So nothing weighs more than anything else. In the world. Because you can always have 100 pounds of anything equalling 100 pounds of anything else. Obviously, when comparing weight within the context of normal conversation, we take volume into account. What's your agenda when you decide to not consider volume?…

i always make it with cottage cheese and it tastes great to me, but hey i am not much of a cook either! :)

 Just wanted to point out that you seem to be very seriously discussing proper grammar usage concerning the pseudo-words "woo" and "derp". As an english teacher, I find that very entertaining!

ha that's awesome.

peanuts aren't actually nuts... the name is misleading. they are delicious, though.

it may be a good idea to brush your teeth after that. it sounds like a tooth decay party.

I know what it's like, and it's really hard. My co-workers bring in homemade treats, so I find it difficult to log the calories. Then my thinking is "Well, I already ate that, and I can't log it. May as well eat whatever I want for the rest of the day now!" I think the money thing is an awesome idea. I'm gonna try that.

it should say the number of grams in each serving in the nutrition facts. so weigh the crackers and you'll have your answer!

From the dictionary (pay attention to the second definition): diet |ˈdī-it| noun the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats : a vegetarian diet | a specialist in diet. • a special course of food to which one restricts oneself, either to lose weight or for medical reasons : I'm going on a diet.…

You got this! Some advice- When I started out, I wondered if I could actually succeed. I ended up promising myself I'd log everything I ate for a couple weeks. I didn't have to keep to any limit- the important part was weighing it and logging it 100% honestly. Anyone can do that, right? Well, it quickly became habit. It…

so don't eat it! in my opinion, there are no benefits great enough to warrant you gagging every time. you can get plenty of benefits from other foods. ps- what oatmeal benefits are you referring to??

i found a bunch of staples in a salad once! i was wondering what was so chewy and sharp... when i showed the guy behind the counter, he blurted out- "i TOLD him not to refill the stapler over the salad bar..!!"

this is not gonna end well...

this is just my personal experience... i tried to lose lose weight when i was 8 weeks postpartum as well. i lost a tiny bit, but it was majorly hard- my body just wasn't ready for that, and i wasn't emotionally ready for it either, with the stress and sleeplessness that a new baby brings. i waited till my baby was 4 months…
