To not be in so much pain...maybe even to get rid of it. I have chronic pain from a muscular condition and I don't remember what it feels like to not be in pain.

Hi I'm raven. I've had chronic pain since I was 14, I'm 21 now. It started in both of my big toes and now...well if you think of a joint and/or muscle and I have it there now. It slowly spread throughout my body over the intervening years. Apparently it's because I have hyper mobility syndrome. But...well Like you I…

When i was younger i was a really picky eater and had a really small group of foods that i would eat. I was very scared of new foods. My parents did this thing where they would just as me to hold a new food the first time. Then the next just lick it, then over time it would progress to putting it in my mouth and then to…

Hi, welcome to the group. It is always nice to see a new face around here. I hope that we can help you keep on track.

Hi it's always nice to see someone new around the place. I'm not really sure what you're asking but 'll do my best to answer it. Swinging is a repetative motion and i know that makes a lot of people with autism feel safe and calm because you know what to expect. I suppose that it also helps to build a bond between the…

I've made it through one of the worst weeks of my life, without falling into very bad habits.

It's always lovely to welcome a new member into the group! It isn't very active at the moment, but we try and answer people as soon as we can. I'm sure that you will lose the weight that you have left to go. Well done for losing 52 pounds! Looking forward to seeing more of you in the group forums. raven

Hi everyone. I have my appointment for my second assessment later on in the month, and i'm feeling better about going there and seeing the people. This one should be easier than the last because its filling in some questionaire things and i shouldnt have to do to much talking. Just thought that i should update you all on…

Hello to everyone

Great inspiration for me! I'm a little bit taller than you (5ft 11 1/2 ) and have a similar start and goal weight. It's nice to see that it can be done.

Hello there. Raven here 19 and going through and Aspergers? Nice to see some one new.

When i had to talk to my GP about my psychosis (hallucinations) i was terrified and tongue tied too, so i wrote down what i wanted to say, so i wouldn't forget it. Then when i got to anxious to talk i just gave him the piece of paper. I hope that that helps you.

@Bola17 Thank you for writing something so nice. I hope things get better too because it's taken a lot to get to this point.

Hi so i thought that i would write something about myself again some of the stuff is more in depth than before. A lot of stuff about food in here. Some things that i think are important for you to know before i start are that i am currently in the middle of being tested for Autism. (Aspergers basically) But i self…

Hi everyone. I think that you are all very strong people especially as so many people out there are horrible. I've not really faced anything yet, i've just started the testing for autism, part of me is really glad because i've been waiting a long time for it (they were first going to test me when i was 16 but changed their…

Hi it's been a long time since you posted but i just wanted to say that i really connect to the double sensory thing, i also have problems with noise and food. Hence why i don't sit at the table with everyone else. When i'm feeling overstimulated, touching feels like the person is pouring boiling hot water on me and noise…

@ Themoodys13 Hi it's always nice to see new faces around here! From memory, 3 is the age which is considered a cut off point in child development. It is thought that if a child has a developmental delay and hasn't caught up to their peers by this age that it is likely that it is going to be a long term issue or that its…

i fully take the blame for my weight gain. But i'm a part of the generation born in the 90's to obese parents who never taught me anything about food and fed me, not badly but they both worked full time and so i got a lot of baked beans on toast, tinned spaghetti on toast etc. There is the fact that i also have autism and…

It was on BBC 2 on the 14.6.12 at 9pm It's not really pointing the finger.. The first episode is about the invention of high fructose corn syrup and other new foods eg. frozen foods, but it focuses more on the cultural changes in the world around food. Such as snacking and eating more pre-prepared food. Also about how…

Hello everyone! I' sorry that i haven't been around as much as before lately. I've been having a lot of things going on in my life at the moment the vast majority of them not particularly good. I'm glad that the board has been more active lately. I'm really having a bad time of it lately. Some of you know me from one of…
