Congatulations! That is a HUGE accomplishment! I finished my first in 2011 and swore that it was my last. I missed my 3:00 mark by a minute! I decided to stick to 5K's, but after I finished a 5K in May I watched the half marathoners cross the finish line and got bit by the bug! I ran a 10K last week, and I am going to…

I am currently running 5K's and 10K's but I plan on starting a half marathon training program in February for a May half. My goal is to be running a strong 4 mile by then. I would love to be at my goal weight (about 20 pounds from where I am now) before the race. Feel free to add me - I would love to have friends that have…

Hi! I am 5'10 and currently weigh about 182. I would love to get down to 170 but I have never made it past 177 for more that a few months before I give up. I would love to get to 170 by the end of the year.

Flo Rida is my current favorite along with some Skillet thrown in.

I log mine under circuit training in the cardio section.

I get up at 5:00 am for work, and for me that's too early to eat a meal but I need to get my metabolism going. I have been drinking a lean shake on my way in to work, and then fruit and egg whites at my breakfast break (around 9:00 am). It's been working for me, plus I get the protein in.

1)How many calories burned do you log for each 10 minutes of strength training? About 40 to 50 calories - I am conservative with the number 2)What intensity do you lift at? (Low – Moderate – High Intensity) High intensity - I do circuit training so my heart rate stays up the whole time

Try slowing down. Endurance first, speed later. Running is a little different than other exercises - higher impact - so your body will react differently. Slow your pace and see if that helps. Good luck!

Lol!!! Wonderful NSV! Good luck finding a new favorite!

A few years back I couldn't run across a parking lot to my car. A couple of weeks ago, I ran 5 miles without having to stop and walk. I'm not fast by any means, but as my endurance builds, speed is slowly coming with it. Couch to 5K is what I have used to help me become a runner. I absolutely love that program! Good luck…

Love this story! That had to make your night!

Congratulations!!!! Awesome finishing time too!

You absolutely can do it - especially if you are just looking to finish. Personally, I think you have plenty of time to run a half marathon. Your weight will drop as you train. Just take it slow and definitely start off training for a 5K, get a few under your belt and start increasing your miles. There are plenty of…

The Chocolate PB2 is AMAZING!!! I just got my shipment this week, and I am hooked!

Very inspiring blog! Congratulations on finding the athlete within yourself! You have such a positive attitude and seem to really know what you want - don't quit chasing it. Every step of the way you will see how much stronger you physically become. Best of luck in your weight loss (and running) journey!

-People who take your spot in class when you go to get water during a break. That is just not on! [/quote] This one. Definitely this one.

We have a Burley trailer and we LOVE it. It ahs been great. I believe it carries up to 100 pounds, and it has storage in the back. We have used it for our son since he was still in a carrier. It comes with a wheel on the front, so that you can drop it down when you get to your destination and use it as a stroller. There is…

I really want to be a part of this challenge, and I am hoping that I will have found the oomph that has been missing from the New Year, New You challenge before January 2. i sure don't want to be cut from the team for lack of participation!

For something a little out of the ordinary, you could try a Thai pizza. I use bottled sweet chili sauce (I found it in near the Asian food in the supermarket), grilled chicken, sauted onions and zuchinni, and mozzarella cheese. My husband is a pizza fanatic and he LOVES it.

Go at a comfortable pace. You should still be able to carry on a conversation while you run. You can focus on building speed once you are able to complete your 5K. I am a slow runner. I usually run at 5.0 - 5.2 and walk at 3.7 - 3.8. It all depends on the person. Congrats for starting the program!

Did W3D1 tonight, but I did more than I needed to! I forgot my phone, so I guessed the intervals and ended up doing a run 3 minutes/walk 2 minutes interval four times. I guess day 2 will be a piece of cake!

Starting week 3 tonight! I have been a little lax about keeping to the schedule so I spent a little more timeon week 2, but I feel good after 90 secons and I am on to the next week. Keep running everyone!

I have one and I absolutely LOVE it! I think the quality is great; I've had no issues. I am amazed at the workout I get in just 30 minutes. I sweat buckets in the time that I walk on it. The only thing to consider is that because of the nature of the machine, it is not made for running or jogging. The model that I have…
