I try to combine coupons with items from weekly sale flyers so I can stock up (especially on canned goods). We aren't on food stamps, but I try to stick to about $100 a week for 4 of us (including 2 teenage boys).

Whether you exercise in the morning or evening doesn't really matter as much as that you are doing something. If you have a lot to lose you can always try breaking workouts into more frequent shorter sessions. (ex: 10 minutes in the morning, 10 in the evening). The main thing is that you are exercising. I'd love to join again. I agree that 8 lbs in a month is a lot, but I like to aim high. Since I'm down 14.2 since 1/1, 8 isn't that much of a stretch. But anything over 5 this month would be awesome. 3/1 178.8 3/8 3/15 3/22 3/29 Which puts my goal for challenge at 170.8 Good luck to everyone! We can do this!!!

Maybe if I drink more water this week the scale will be nice next week....

Muscles may be retaining water while they repair after lifting. Also make sure you are drinking enough water. (More water you drink= less water weight)

If you are measuring everything correctly and you stay under your goal then, yes you should lose. If you only have 6 lbs to go, you should change goal to 1/2 lb per week.

Don't worry too much over 1 day's meal. I know it's difficult whenever you see the scale go up, but weight fluctuates. My 'go to' pork recipe is really easy. As a matter of fact we had it tonight. Pork chops in casserole dish, sprinkle about 1/4 packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix, pour a few tablespoons of Fat Free French Dressing over them. Cover dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

^^ This Both my kids have bad asthma. While exercise can be a good thing for asthmatics it needs to be controlled. As far as swimming, I would be cautious if you are going to be swimming indoors, chlorine can trigger an attack.
