  • I usually force myself to take a rest day each week. If you are going to workout everyday alternate days. I do my strength training & elliptical on T, Th and S, walking/jogging on M, W, F.
  • there is a separate entry for swimming laps. When I take my son to the pool I log about 1/2 the time I'm in as water aerobics (and I do swim laps, but log that time as laps- light/moderate effort.) Not sure what anyone else does, but with all the walking and other movements in the pool I figure that water aerobics is about…

  • It took awhile to put the weight on, it will take time to lose the weight. Be patient and persistent and you will succeed. Good Luck!
  • I was going to ask the same thing.
  • 164.0 today. Down 1 lb from last week. New measurements Neck 12.5 Waist 36 Hip 39.5 R thigh 22.5 L thigh 22.5
  • I always have saltine crackers and sprite when I feel ill, Forget the calories today. Just work on getting better today.
  • My husband is not supportive either. He insists on keeping chips and such in the house, and gets irritated when I go to the gym. He can do this with me if he wants, but I really don't care. I keep hoping that as he sees me get more fit and less fat he might decided to join me in this battle, but if not that is his choice.…
  • Bruising after doing any type of cardio exercise is NOT normal. Probably should check with a doctor.
  • I also just got back from the pool. At first I put my time in as swimming leisurely. But since I was doing more walking and playing than swimming I decided to change it to water aerobics. Then I logged my laps as swimming moderate effort. Not sure if that is correct or not, but seems pretty close.
  • You are so right. Be patient, work hard and it will happen. Best wishes.
  • Face and collarbone area, then back, and waist. (Boobs, hips and thighs are very stubborn. But everytime I gain that's where it seems to go first.) My arms are pretty solid, not much to lose there.
  • You both look terrific! Congrats!
  • Welcome and good luck! I struggle sometimes because my husband has NO desire to join this journey with me so there is always candy, chips, ice cream, etc... in our house. He and the kids usually expect supper to have some type of meat as the main course. One of the main things I have learned is just to eat smaller…
  • I agree completely. Just what I was going to say. You will start losing muscle - which you should desire to keep!
  • There are 2 that I know of. One is the Tricep extension, the other one is the kickback. Google Tricep weight training.
  • Team 8 is now "Run in the Sun" I believe our miles so far should be ___3___ personal miles +___ 4___ previous miles = ___7____ total miles for Run in the Sun (Team 8)
  • I hit a plateau and was stuck at same number for most of the month of May. I changed my exercise routine, reevaluated my goals (increased calories) and made sure I was drinking more water. The scale has begun the downward trend. Feel free to send me a message or add me as a friend.
  • I would look at your goal also and make sure you have it set to lose. You didn't say how tall you are or what you weigh either. If you are close to your goal you should change settings to lose 1/2 lb per week.
  • ___4____ (My personal miles) + _____0_____(Team 8 - still deciding on a name) = 4 total miles Team 8

  • Welcome! I joined in March and LOVE it! Best wishes on your journey
  • Might want to see your doctor and have bloodwork done. I'm not a doctor, but if your electrolytes are out of wack, you could develop those symptoms. (According to my last Dr. visit) Of course countless other things could have those symptoms also. For me it was sodium level too low. Best wishes.
  • What do you have your goal set at? When you are nearing goal weight you should have a goal to only lose 1/2 pound per week. Change your eating habits, and exercise routine. Keep your body guessing.
  • What exercises have you tried? There are some that I hate (exercise bike), others that I hate the first 5 minutes (elliptical) and love running, strength training and swimming. Although I don't think swimming is very good for weight loss, but is a great cardio exercise. Never liked the idea of exercise much until I started…

  • They dont do much for a broken toe, but they do have a 'shoe' they can give you to wear. Otherwise something with a hard sole is best. (I've broken 3 toes. First my pinky toe - I had to go buy all new shoes that time. Last one was my big toe - dropped a 22 pound frozen turkey on it, lucky I didn't loose that toe.)

  • That I can have the seat in the car up far enough to reach the pedal without hitting my chest against the steering wheel. And that I feel like the very fit person I was in my early 20's. I also feel very guilty if I take a rest day from exercise, even though I know I need at least 1 rest day a week with how hard I work out…
