He recently did a big US tour, but am sure he'll come back around again soon!

I thought this was a good topic to revive! On the treadmill I tend to listen to a mixture of different folk metal bands (Finntroll, Turisas) and AC/DC, Slayer, Iron Maiden- quite old school metal, and not what I typically listen to throughout the day. When I row I tend to go for the more chilled music, longer songs-…

Sometimes there are some flurries of activity, and then nothing!

Haha! And he has such a massive back catalogue. Don't know what my favourites are, so much to choose from. Love his SYL stuff. Synchestra is fantastic. Love Ki and Addicted. And love the song Juular from Deconstruction, because I'm a HUGE fan of Ihsahn. You should definitely see him live if he passes your way- he puts on a…

Have you listened to any of his other stuff yet?

Here! Always up for chatting about metal while I log, but have posted a lot and rarely get replies! Maybe we can revive this group?

Also wish this group was a bit more active. Unfortunately don't see many live gigs, due to shortage of bands I'd like to see touring my country. But caught Meshuggah when I was in London in December, and Behemoth actually toured here in November.... Think I'm going to try to make it to Metaldays this year, but have to see…

I'm still here! Not a Killswitch fan, but saw the story on Adam and Price is Right- nicely done.
-
Ah, hate it when that happens- so close yet so far! And yeah, Animals as Leaders and Devin together sounds like a really fun show!
-
Awesome! I was over in the UK in December and saw Meshuggah again, on their 20th Anniversary tour. It was truly incredible.

Lateralus is one of my favourite albums of all time. I think I've probably listened to it more than any other album of any band, never gets old. Listening to the new Primordial at the moment- Where Greater Men have Fallen. It's awesome.
-
Haven't listened to it yet, but will soon! Unfortunately the skullet's been gone for awhile... Anneke is great, love her work on Devin's albums. I'm going to the Ziltoid the Omniscient musical at the Royal Albert Hall in London next year- going to be epic!

It depends on where you are going as to what food is available. In the bigger places, like Jakarta, Yogjakarta, Mataram and Kuta (both on Lombok and Bali, but you mentioned that you're going to Lombok) there is quite a variety of both local and international foods, so you should have options that you know about in terms of…

Emperor- Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

Electric Wizard- A time to die. So far, so good.

I listen to a lot of music like that, kind of in the background until it seeps into my consciousness. I work in a very noisy area so music just blocks out all distractions and I don't concentrate on it necessarily, it's just there.

I'm in the same boat. Advice- just go, even if you don't have anyone to go with. I've been to many live shows by myself, and these past two years went to Hellfest by myself. Of course- sitting in a field in France with 30 000 other people- you're not by yourself for long! Made some awesome friends and had an incredible…

I love live music, so much so that at least once a year I head over and go to one of the European metal festivals. This year was Hellfest, in France (as was last year) and it was just...incredible. Look at the line-up, mind-blowingly good! The Valley stage would definitely be your kind of thing TheCrawlingChaos…
