Completely agree with this. ^ My husband and I use the "copy meal to.." a lot. But I think it's only available on the App, but I could be wrong. Trying to find the recipe, etc. is impossible. So the "copy" method works great. Easy. And no need to track sugar either. No point really .

Olives? How about Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar dressing? High fat cheese? What fats do you like and which ones are you eating on this LCHF way of eating?

Actually, your body does NOT need carbs for energy. When you are eating a low carb diet, you use FAT for energy. And your body certainly does not eat itself from the insides. That being said, everyone is different. Low carb diets are great for many folks. Low calorie diets work for others. But a NO carb diet? No such…

For me, lots of fat. MCT oil, a couple of tablespoons. But basically just stick to what you know. You'll get back there.

Sure, I did it. And then proceeded to gain all my weight back. And more. Fads don't work. A lifestyle change does.

Everyone is different. Some don't lose any, some lose 10. It depends on your body and how much water weight you have to lose.

Great stuff. Thanks for posting!

Prince Ronzoni Gluten Free is great. Tastes exactly the same as regular pasta. My husband loved it and he's as picky as they come.

Thanks Eddie! You're not so bad yourself! :blushing:

For protein, do what Kira suggested, about 75-90gr. No more. Your fat maybe more because the Sunflower oil you tracked is not showing the fat grams. Pick a different one from the database. I eat cheese everyday and it doesn't seem to hinder me. But I keep it to 1-2 ounces. And try to stay away from processed cheese. It has…

Firstly, read a lot! You can start here: http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/ http://www.livinlowcarbdiscussion.com/index.php Lots and lots of good info. Go through your kitchen and get rid of all your breads, pasta, rice, sugar. Stock up on chicken, steak, burgers, eggs, cheese, olive oil, coconut…

Eat when you are hungry. I think if you eat when you are not hungry will defeat the purpose.
-
Have you taken your measurements? How much fat are you eating?

I have no problem with nuts. I eat macadamia, almonds and also pumpkin seeds all the time. The key is to measure/weigh them. I could totally over eat them if I didn't.

I second the Quest Bars!! A little pricey but totally worth the money. You can find them on Quest.com or Amazon.com.

I lasted 2 days on the Fat Fast. Way too hungry. However, I did lose 1.6 lbs. So I'm good with that. However my calories were higher than a typically fat fast and I still lost. So I'm thinking I need to eat that way normally, meaning lower carb and much higher fat, like 80%. I'll see how it works for me. I want to lose 7…
-
Sure, why not?

I think everyone is different. For me I'm finding lower carb and much higher fat, like 80% works best. You need to start somewhere and go from there.
-
Thanks Christine. That was really helpful. I don't seem to be as hungry today, thank goodness. :)

Just sent you a friend request!

Ok, I checked out your diary. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Fat Fast should be closer to 90% fat and very low protein.

Wow. Thank you. Checking it out. I was just under 1200 calories yesterday for my first Fat Fast Day. And today looks like I'll do the same. But I was still down 1 pound this morning. So that's awesome. However, I'm wondering too if it has mostly to do with the amount of calories, not fat that we're consuming that causes…
