Your HRM is definitely more accurate. The treadmill does not know how tall you are or your sex.

^This...my daughter joined the Air Force last summer and she was drug tested before, during and after. So they'll be sorry.

Wow! That's a new one on me. Never heard that. And yes, OP, that drives me up the wall. Totally with you.
-
Yep. Everyone is different. I burn around 200ish as well.

Hi Rebecca, There are quite a few of us on here that do 5:2. There are also two 5:2 groups on here. If that works for you, do 2pm to 2pm. As long as you get in two 24-hour fasting periods (500 calories). It's up to you! Group links: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/7953-5-2-fasting…

Here's the link to the documentary: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xvdbtt_eat-fast-live-longer-hd_shortfilms#.UOOjXKz47XS It's only an hour long and very interesting. You don't want to under-feed your body on feast days. You will run the risk of burning muscle and that's not what this is about. It's about health. Don't…

I started 5:2 last week, lost 5 lbs! Today is my third fast day. I'm hungry but I'm jugging the water and looking forward to dinner tonight :) Just make sure you eat enough on your feast days. Eat normally. Also, it's important that you fast as close to 24 hours that you can to get all the health benefits that Dr Mosley…

This is my 2nd week and I really like it. Dropped 5 lbs last week. I do what to say however that 1200 calories is much too low for feast days. You should be eating closer to your TDEE. Are you very petite? Also, it may be easier for you to not snack and just have one meal in the evening. Dr. Mosley suggests to try and fast…

AND this ^ That's why I do the 5:2 plan. Love it and will probably do it for the rest of my life.
-
Totally false. There's no such thing as your metabolism "shutting down". http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xvdbtt_eat-fast-live-longer-hd_shortfilms#.UOOjXKz47XS

Yes, but not because he would laugh at me. I'm very self-conscious about that stuff. I'd prefer to work out without anyone watching me. My husband is nothing but supportive. But I totally understand how you feel.

Please find out what your BMR is. You should at least be eating that many calories. And please don't burn more than you eat. If you do, you'll be burning muscle, not fat. Eat woman! And please read this, it'll help you understand why you need to be eating a little more:…

Most days you are netting way below 1200 calories! EAT!!!
-
I don't know a lot about the 5:2 plan, but it sounds intriguing. You may want to join and ask the 5:2 Group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/8005-5-2-fasting

To the person that just posted that they eat 1200 calories and burn 300/day walking...(sorry the quote thing didn't work). So you're only netting 900 calories a day?

You may want to post this on the EM2LW Group. You may get more specific answers. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3817-eat-more-to-weigh-less

I would never give up anything!! But I really have to watch my WINE intake. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

You can manually change your calories to whatever you want. Was that the question? So it looks like you should eat around 1800 or so. Change MFP.

I'm 48. Have always had regular periods, every 28 days. This past year they have started to become irregular. And now my period is over 3 weeks late. I'm thinking I must be starting menopause. But no other symptoms.

I love Leslie Sansone. I have her DVD that has 1,2,3 and 4 mile walks. It was under $10 on Amazon. I really like it.
-
I'm pretty sure your BMR is more than 1300. If that is the case, you are clearly not eating enough. Do you eat back your exercise calories?
-
Please go to the link I posted above and see how much you should be eating. If you're working out more you need to eat more. Also, this thread is amazing. Great information: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/804485-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

What is your height? What is your BMR? I don't think you are eating enough. Go here to figure out what you should be eating: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

How many calories are you eating now? Have you thought about eating more? That's what worked for me.

Hang in there! I'm 5'7", 191. Started Monday at about 1700 calories and was down 1.6 this morning!! It works!! Love it!
