Just a note to say that, MFP is really not a reliable way to track your sodium intake; unless you are going to check / correct the sodium value for every food you eat. 9/10 the sodium value entered for foods in the MFP is completely wrong - either entered incorrectly as grams of salt, converted from salt to sodium…

Firstly, I think you look great, not 'crap' at all, lower half or anywhere! Have you considered using kettlebells at all? They aren't too expensive to buy/don't take up too much space at home, and their are lots of exercises (squats etc) using them that are aimed at working the lower body. I am no expert at all (I did my…

I wish I could get into the habit of walking in the morning too, as it is I tend to walk at dusk, which is nice but it would be good to get it done in the mornings sometimes. I definitely need to keep the hills in, as I can't walk and walk as fast as I like but I only really get out of breath during the hills, plus I like…

This is good advice, I do this. Also, whenever I have a new meal, I take the time to log it as a recipe. Now I have a nice big selection of meals / snacks that are easily logged, to choose from. It makes logging less time consuming and annoying in the long run.

Hey, thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I’m very much guilty of always wanting to see maximum results (as quickly as possible) when I start with any sort of eating plan, which really isn’t the right attitude, I accept. This time I am genuinely focusing more on being healthy, than losing weight as quickly as possible…

My recommended calorie intake is 1200 too. I think it's the lowest calorie intake MFP recommends, as when I eat less than 1200 I get the 'naughty, naughty, eating too few calories' warning. I'm 5ft 6.5" and aim to lose a stone to get down to 126lbs, inputted that I wanted to lose 2lbs a week. I've been eating over 1200…

I think I prefer missing to wildly inaccurate to be honest, but either way is frustrating if it is something you are actively monitoring.

I'm a scientist; I find this sort of inaccuracy really annoying!

I do both, depending on how the day is going / how organised I am feeling. Currently I'm on 1400 calories, so I like to know that I'm going to have enough calories to last me through the day and ensure I get a decent dinner (it is easy to run out I find!), hence I am pre-logging more often when I remember.
