  • I'm in the same exact boat as you are. Even though my Fiancee says she wants to see me be successful in getting fit, the second day I started eating better and tracking my food, she comes home with Reese's cups, Mountain Dew, Pizza, and chips n' dip. It was like "really"? She doesn't live a particularly healthy lifestyle…
  • Oh okay, I understand. I'm not a vegetarian, so I will still be getting my main sources of protein from animal food. I was just curious. Thank you for that information everyone.
  • Thank you so much for the idea's everyone. I do love me some Greek yogurt for sure. Not so much cottage cheese, but better than eggs. Turkey sausage sounds good too. I've also been using protein powder for breakfast along with my oat meal (plain quick oats), and fruit. I just prefer whole foods though. Nuts would be a…
  • That's usually what I'm doing too, is going to the grocery store every day, to every other day. Though I don't like spending money so often. I'm with you on that dancephysics. I should get a plan together. Thanks everyone for the advice. I will try going frozen, but probably not for everything. I still like my fresh…
  • Eggs! I can sometimes tolerate them, but I can barely eat them more than twice a week. I know they are the premier fitness food, and they are packed with Amino Acids, but I just can't do them. The only time I can really eat them is if I don't taste them, or feel the texture. I like them mostly in protein pancakes.
  • Yeah I probably should have factored in the fluctuation of water weight. I will keep doing what I'm doing for a couple of more weeks. I also started eating more calories as well so my body wouldn't go into starvation mode. I still might be eating too much less as well. Anyways I suppose it's common to over think everything…
  • No I don't have a food scale, but I've been wanting one. I've been eating clean, and exercising for about three weeks now. I think I might be adding muscle, but adding a couple Lbs of muscle in just three weeks seems unrealistic. I don't know.
  • Thank you for the responses. Yes I have in fact accurately tracked my calories. I have used measuring cups, and everything. I have noticed my clothes fit better, and I don't feel bloated either. I should start measuring my waste to see if in fact I am losing inches. However the number on the scale seems to be going up. I…
  • Thank you very much for that advice! I will adjust accordingly. I just knew it seemed odd that I had to eat THAT much less.
  • That was a great story. Keep up the good work. Tell your husband thanks for his service. I was in the Army myself. I do admit I am having a hard time understanding why MyFitnessPal has set my daily Calories to 1280 Calories. I am a Male, 5'6", at 201 Lbs. I am a student so I have my activity level set on Sedentary, but I…
