Exactly!! My fiance is a 3rd year ER resident. Sure, he could stand to lose 30 lbs but it doesn't make him any less of a doctor. He has regulars in the ER that actually request him because of his compassion and care, not because of his level of fitness/health.

When I was on a dating website (they do work! I met my fiance on it) a guy wanted to go out and we finally met up and he looked nothing like his pictures. I think he could tell by my expression and fessed up to the pics being 5 years old. No hair and 50 lbs later is what I got.

I had lost a lot of weight before I filed for divorce from my psycho ex, just because I wanted to lose the weight. The best advice I have is to get some therapy. It really helped me not derail and keep on the path I wanted to stay on. It also really helped with sorting through all the emotions I was going through and…

You will find tons of support and information on this site. Feel free to add me. I'm on here regularly and will be there to cheer you on! Good Luck!

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. On the weekends I'll try to work out in the morning or the early afternoon and I usually end up eating most of them back. If it's during the week, I'm not working out until 8 or 9 at night and I dont' really feel like eating right before I go to bed so I don't then. I've never been…

I'm 5'7" and my GW is between 145 and 140. I was down to that weight before and looked good, but this time I want to be more toned so I'll just have to see where I land. My goal is to be back into my size 8 jeans that I refuse to get rid of.

I could always use more friends. I'm on here pretty much everyday. Busier days I may not get to comment or motivate (busy season for me) but on other days I can and will. I try to be very honest with my logging and my diary is open so I'm always up for suggestions!

Go see a cardiologist for sure. Better to safe than sorry when it comes to your ticker!

Log everything that you eat and be honest. Don't underestimate your calories. Eat to your goal everyday. It's up to you whether or not you want to eat back your exercise calories. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Get a HRM so you know exactly how many calories your burning (HRM's with chest straps are the most…

I've dated guys who were shorter than me. Height never really bothered me. The deal breaker for me is humor, not height.

Monistat makes an anti-chafing cream that does work. You can find it in the feminine product section of most stores.

Don't get discouraged! I've been stuck for about 3 weeks now with the scale not doing anything. Maybe it's water weight? I've never done Insanity so I don't know what it entails. Just don't give up! :flowerforyou: Like you said, tomorrow is another day and it'll happen. Maybe making your diary public so others can give…

I'm curvy. Classic hourglass figure. Wide shoulders and hips with a pretty narrow waist. I guess I'm kind of lucky that I carry the extra pounds pretty proportionate (sp?) so I never lose my shape, it just gets smaller. I wouldn't want to change the figure I have, just smaller and tone it up.

I do only because I'm not a morning person and if I don't make it part of my morning routine, I'll forget and never do it. Plus, I think I secretly like to drive myself nuts. :ohwell:

I'm not a morning person at all. I really prefer working out at night. Some nights I make it to the gym at 6 or 7 and some nights (like last night) I don't go until 8:30 or 9. I've found I work out better at night and can go longer. It's also a huge stress reliever for me after a stressful day at work.

I have the Polar FT7 and love it. You can't feel the cheststrap when wearing it and it's pretty easy to use. I found that I usually burn more than the machines tell me I do and less than what MFP says.

We were dating for 3 years exactly and living together for 2 1/2 years before we got engaged. Quick I know, but we were both divorced and knew exactly what each of us wanted. The lease was up on his apartment so we figured why not give it a shot? He moved in with me and the rest is history. We really have no plans to get…

When I first started it set me at 1300. That was too low for me. I didn't have energy and was starving all the time. This time around I bumped it up to 1550 and it's much better now and I'm still losing and I'm not hungry.

I graduated from Walsh College and my fiance got his undergrad at U of M and his doctorate from State. He calls himself a "hybrid".

I've always weighed more than I looked. When I as younger I used to go to an orthopedic surgeon for a mild curve in my spine and he would look at my x-rays and tell me that I had a large bone structure. At my lowest of 140 my ribs and hip bones stuck out. My goal weight now is 145 but as I lose weight I'll re-evaluate and…
