  • Okay, now I have it right. If I figured right and add a snack in after supper that should put him around 200 calories OVER what he needs to be. AND I changed his activity level to 'active' just to be on the safe side. Since I'm trying to make it healthy-ish calories (soup, sandwiches on whole grain bread, peanut butter,…
  • It's not short term, he needs to gain and maintain from now until the surgery. Since it's a cadaver (dead) transplant it could be today or it could be a year from now. We don't know... Any tips on good sack lunches for him to take to work? Something high calorie?? Also, he's allergic to poultry (I know, could he have any…
  • I googled and got all the foods he won't eat...nuts, avocados, sweet potatoes...he won't eat any of that stuff. I've tried and tried a thousand different ways. He would live off of Banquet pot pies if I allowed it (I don't because he's supposed to watch his sodium intake)
  • LOL! Mine won't eat ANYTHING... His doctor just said boost shakes...and the he says "And ice cream...oh wait...diabetic...uhhhh forget I said that last part hahaha"
  • Thanks! I'll for sure check that out. I told him I'd start fixing eggs and bacon and toast in the AM for breakfast and he now says he doesn't like eggs, they didn't agree with him once so he won't eat them. My husband is the worlds most picky eater!! And he very very rarely takes his lunch break so this is all breakfast…
  • Thanks! I have my activity set at sedentary right now...I am a SAHM so I'm anything BUT but better safe than sorry LOL. I haven't been counting it, I was just worried about losing too many calories and putting myself further in the hole (finances=mama doesn't eat much=mama doesn't get enough calories as it is...)
  • I have a 6 year old and a 3.5 year old (and a 1 year old) I do discuss my weight loss but more in the realm of 'healthy eating' my kids know what foods are 'good for our bodies' (lean meats, fruit, veggies, whole grains, etc) and what foods are 'not healthy' (fried food, candy, processed food, etc) and they know we strive…
  • I LOVE pizza!!! We eat it probably once a week. Although me cutting WAY WAY WAY back has turned us from a large+a medium family into a "1 large will do" the hubby & kids eat the lions share, Mama gets the smaller 2 pieces ;-) I work it into my calorie goal and try to get up right away and walk walk walk to burn off the…
  • Hi! I'm a SAHM of 3 (6, 3, 1.5) We keep granola bars, string cheese, apples, special k bars, fiber 1 bars on hand at all times :) My kids could eat apples dipped in peanut butter 18 times a day haha. For breakfast I usually do oatmeal (the real stuff, no quick oats here ewie) with a touch (roughly half a tsp) of brown…
  • Thanks!!
  • I am new also, but I think 6lbs a month sounds pretty reasonable. 1-1.5lbs a WEEK is considered ideal I think. You're doing great so far, keep up the great work!!
  • Do you feel comfortable?? That is what matters! Personally, I wouldn't...I have a bit of a Mummy Tummy that I am working my butt off to get rid of...I won't wear one until my tummy is nice and flat. If I were you (and our body shapes are remarkably similar) I'd get a tankini but that is just me You're doing AWESOME!! Keep…
  • Sorry for the end of the relationship!! But you sound like you have a fantastic attitude about it. Onward and upward (or downward as the case may be...)
  • bump again?
  • Thanks!! I'll have to start doing that.
