The biggest tip or pointer that works for me is simply to TRACK EVERYTHING I EAT! If I track, I am so conscious of calories and I lose. If I don't track then I stray from my plan and don't see results. So if you eat it, write it!

I prefer the middles and always save the best bite for last! I also tend to shake most things before eating/drinking - milk, juice, condiments, etc, even if they don't need shaking! Oh yeah - and before it passes the lips it MUST pass the smell test!

I agree with the above posters...it sounds like you are very aware of what the problem was and how your reaction was unhealthy. It sounds like a win to me because right away you were able to acknowledge your disordered thinking and create a solution to make it better. ( At least at 1 am ;)

You can lose weight by eating right and not exercising at all. You can't lose weight by eating terrible and exercising a bunch. Make sure the nutrition part is right and then GIVE IT TIME. I have always heard this is incorrect also. 200 calories at night is going to be the same as 200 at lunch or breakfast. If it is over your total intake, you won't lose. If it is under your intake goal...you will!

One our our quick easy meals is to make wraps with some low cal tortillas...usually chicken and loads of veggies! Another idea is to use the crock pot. If you can plan the meal the night before...even prep and put the crock in the fridge then just pop it in and turn it on in the morning! I would love to hear more ideas…

For me it has been cereal! I love cereal but my portions were way out of control compared to the serving sizes on the box. Since my servings were about double what it says on the box...I certainly was taking in way too many calories!
