Would you be able to go for short walks? Not sure if this is to much for the hip injury. I wouldn't say it would effect it to much but remember that your hour of cardio doesn't have to be all at once, even if you could take a walk on a lunch break, then another in the evening is better than nothing. So something more like a 5-5 workout would be a better fit for my level of fitness? Also thank you for the response I will try and look at eating more its just trying to find where - should I eat larger meals or larger snacks because if I bump to 2100-2300 then I am going up 400-600 calories a day.

Thank you everyone for the advice, from what I can read eating more seems be unanimous across the board. I will take that to heart and begin adding another snack or a larger meal into my plan. Also the HRM - does anyone know if those will show calories burned and how accurate they would be?
