https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67USKg3w_E4 With regards to eating your exercise calories.

Thanks so much. Will definitely follow this!

Hey @jross1211 maybe you asked MFP to help you lose weight real quick so it calibrated your intake to 1200. With your height and job, I really don't think 1200 is necessary. Consider going to 1500 and see how that works for you at first. also, you want to lose just 20 pounds. 1500 should be more than enough!

@grogs1964 you definitely should eat the equivalent of the calories you lose at the gym because you need that energy. You've already made a huge calorie deficit by limiting yourself to 1200. At rest, our bodies lose about 1800 calories (for short women like us). So that's a deficit of about 600. If you add the calories you…

@sra455 I get that seeing results fast is motivating. But going way below the suggested calories could be extremely counterproductive. Trust me, I did this. And yo-yo'd real quick. Stick to 1200 without fail. You don't want your body on starvation mode. You'll end up losing muscle and not fat.

Try scheduling your meal times and drink ginger tea / great tea / black coffee in between if you're hungry. But never snack. If you stick to your schedule your mind will learn to switch off and not think about food constantly. Count your calories and buy yourself that dress you've always wanted but don't fit into! Lay it…

So Keto is not a diet looking for someone who wants to make a lifestyle change. Which seems like something you want to do. Keto has a lot of subtle downsides that people don't realise. Almost everything has carbs in it. And the moment you eat a little if it, your body goes out of ketosis. Which can be extremely harmful…

Hey , I have a 12 hour study schedule and get only 2 hours to work out. So I totally get what you're going through. What has worked for me is Intermittent Fasting. I've been doing it for a couple of days now and because I have to eat in such a short window, I save a lot of time since I don't stress all day about my next…

Thanks so much for the advice! @kimny72 . Will follow this and figure out the patterns. The last thing I'd want to do is reach a yo yo phase.

Well he claims that it's applicable to just about everyone. And discusses why women should do IF slightly differently because of increased estrogen levels becoming an issue during the fasting period. But yeah, like I said, if there's literally no difference between calorie control thought the day vs calorie control in 8…

Oh dayum. Then maybe I should just schedule my eating and ensure I don't snack in between. As opposed to going to bed hungry and waking I'm starving

@jjpptt2 @amusedmonkey @lemurcat12 I've been following this YouTube page by Thomas Delauer. He uses extensive scientific studies to prove the benefits of IF. Which is what I'm basing my knowledge on. Now I'm inclined to think he's a quack.
