I think an end goal is great but to get there i set myself smaller sub goals if you will to get there along the way so it don't feel like i am not going to get there, but by having the smaller goals makes it easier to achieve

Log your food, every last little item that you eat, and keep a track on it for a week with the food tracker and see how much you are eating the most important thing is to accurate and honest with yourself.
